Actually, never mind it was totally the perspective of the screeshot you showed at first now that i see the other perspectives I’m even more impressed, the reason is that from that first angle what came to my mind was a ballet dancer, but now i can clearly see what you’re going for. Nice work, and armor concept is epic!!!
Looking great
his right hand looks a little odd in the pinky palm area i think
So 2 final renders, one from zbrush one from keyshot. Comped in photoshop of course the stars and energy ball are post in photoshops as well.

Wow Amazing!
Only comment is the first one looks very nice but the lighting from the reflection of the fire ball, or whatever it is, is not very well reflected. On the first render the size of the ball requires more light, like in the second render where it has more intensity in the torso piece and the gantlets.
I agree with Error 503. I also think that the background on the first render fits the overall picture better since it feels a little bit more blurred/unsharp than the second one. It would probably take like a second to fix, but maybe it’s just me. Either way, great work.
Hey guys thank you for the comments. The truth is I ginda lost the first backround image which I also liked more small_orange_diamond
. And you are right about the lights.
Anyway new post, this is a starfleet officer, for a facebook challenge. Hope you like, max vray for render.
I could see this guy as a character in a star trek episode Great job
@rettich Thnx!
Final render, changed the lights and textures a bit and rendered the guy again. This is the first time I try to render something in vray, but I think it came out nice.
Hi, nice work. I think this character could gain so much with some fabric texture details (normal or displace), and some little work around the piece on the face and the gun, more metalique (spec map), and maybe more color variation on them. And maybe spec map on the face, to delimitate shiny part (like skin) and other parts?
I’m a noob with vray if i could do what i says it would be, cool…but i donno if it’s simple or not :).
Btw cheers !
@felon2
You’re right in every part. But this is my first attempt in VRAY, and I’m a noob as well. Learning and making mistakes. I have fabric bump on the cloth but it’s probably in a small value so that’s why you don’t see it.
Other than that, there is about a billion things to learn, but I think since this is my first time, I’ll keep trying and every piece will bring me closer to a better result each time. Thnx for constructive criticism. Cheers
Sorry, for to much cemments :/. It’s very good for a first piece :). I have says thats because it’s a work thats have a lot of potential to work shaders and textures :).
Good luck for learning !
@Felon2 don’t get me wrong, I just don’t know how to do these things you say… it may sound stupid… I know.
The clothes are also good. But the top part has a lot more detail than the lower part. I would emphasize more texture and liiiitle wrinkles maybe on the lower part. Amazing job all in all.
@sorovince You are right about the clothes, I’ve done a better detailed cloth sculpt and rendered again the alien andwill post a new render soon. Thnx for the critic
New sculpt of wolvie based on the latest issue of savage wolverine from Madureira, one of my all time favorite artists. Here are process videos all from a sphere and extracts. The videos might a while to be uploaded.

You got some great stuff in here, inspiring! Keep up the good work
@Santis thnx man!
update on the wolvie, still ninjas to be done and swords…
hope you like c&c please
Very nice and very interesting to see how you work. The result is incredible !
I have a little question, will you do his feet? and in this position, i think (maybe im wrong) he will probably fall, due to the gravity point. But it’s a detail. I got this feeling on your first steps.
Cheers !
Yes I realize my way might be strange. I think it takes maybe more than most people to do these sculpts. But with a lot of pushing, clay building and patience I have an acceptable result. And lots of fun doing them. As for the comments you’re right he looks as if he’s going to fall. And I’ll try and make a couple of ninjas dead on his feet. So no I will not be completing his feet. Cheers!
I always find it confusing when someone works with dynamesh making one part of teh model at a time ;d
I guess you need more imagination that i have, i could never make one piece fit another if i didnt make them all in one go.
Anyway, good work, fast and efficient workflow with great results.
