Nice job on the polypainting…although it looks like someone ripped the poor man’s face right off!
thanks guys! im glad you like it!
here is some updates on the female bust. i reformed some of the face/neck, added a quick shirt as a subtool. let me know how she is looking. used renders with a variety of different matcaps to show the model in different lightings and with different cavity shadows.
thanks for looking!
hey guys!
here is a head study i did tonight in about 3 hours. still not quite done. any suggestions/comments are welcome!

Wow, nice stuff Matty boy…
Anyways…I’d say…that…you…need…to…
Shrink the eye’s sphere’s scale
Make the cheeks merge more subtely with the mouth (from the side)
The forhead above the nose seems to bulge out alot, might want to make it more subtle as well
Also I doubt anyone’s hair goes that far down to the forhead, other than that, cool stuffages kiddo
like the new stuff, the female is lookin much better since the last time i checked this thread.
bexley - thanks buddy, ill take that into consideration when i work on my next bust! put some of your work on here!
HD CG- thanks as always man. yeah the girl is starting to look better. i will keep chipping away at her. thanks for your input!
here is an update on teh mans head. refined some of the forms, and polypainted him. comments welcome!

no probs its always nice to see your new stuff.
just been looking at the polypainting and i think if you blur it out slightly just to get rid of some of the realy contrasty areas it could look realy nice; you seem to have some nice tone differances to bring out the more scattered aspects of the skin.
HG CG-yeah i agree. now that i look at it, it looks like the guy has some skin disease or something.
here is another head i started last night. going for a sort of uncomfortable smirk expression.
here is an update on the smirking face.
let me know how it looks

Hey Dale,
I’m in vancouver right now at VFS, and so far is frikkin awesome. Havent started classes yet but the city is super cool. I heard the program is really intensive, if u want to really improve ur skills I’d recommend applying, I think u’d get in. Tell em Bexley sent ya
Oh, and as for the bust, it’s looking real good. Some stuff is a bit off but I’m too sleep deprived right now to think (jet lag) lol
thanks bexley! i didnt know you were going to VFS. how long at you going there for?
here is an update on the face.
here is a goblin bust i started last night. let me know what you think. i am not sure how to make it look more…gobliney;)
Big eyes means cute character. Maybe reducing them will help. Also make him thinner, almost like a skull.
lacluna- thanks, i will take those tips into consideration!
here is a skull study i recently revisited. i am reworking alot of it, still a work in progress. thanks to intervain for the awesome matcap!
looks good. where is the lower jaw:)
