My Sketchbook

Looks awesome - you are really progressing a lot. I especially love his axe - it should crush the enemies just with one hit .
Will you pose him or rather leave as is? Sculpting posed characters with appropriate musculature changes is a whole new level and adds a lot of complexity (I personally just stuck with my last posed character). But it is also very rewarding since character in dynamic pose always catching more attention, especially when it is a fantasy character and warrior. And also it helps to gain a lot of experience. I’m still thinking about the best workflow on posing characters with lots of details to avoid further resculpting after deformations (like retaining the ornament and texture on pants or sleeve after bending the limbs).
Keep it up and good luck :+1:

hey buddy, how you doin’?? hope you’re doing great.;)thanks a lot for visiting.I think I leave this one as it is.but I’m working on a new project & I’m gonna pose him.it’s a bit challenging. so glad you liked his Axe.the axe was the only part that I had no idea what I was doing & took my time a bit more than I expected.hehe:lol: again thanks for your support.means a lot.Goodluck.;)

Hi diablo…
Now i am looking at your orc…this is awesome …armors are real good…
But sad it is that you wont continue this orc…
Congrats on the progression youve done…

Very good stuff !!! The shield is awesome

ABDOLER: thanks man.glad you liked it.I’m not actually finished with this character till I make a Game-Res of him.still have to tweak some parts before going to make lowpoly version.;)
Atomizer: thank you for visiting my work.really glad you like his shield.cheers;)

That’s some nice metal-work on the last renders of your orc! :+1:

Clothing details are eye-catchers, too.

Your work is getting more and more intricate – looks like you are growing with Zbrush.

thanks for your kind words buddy.much appreciated.;)

Nice orc man ! great to see your improvements :D:+1:

looks great keep it up

Nice result, Diablo! I’m sure you learned a lot from this guy and would love to see what you come up with next

TomatoVFX: thanks a lot buddy.glad you liked him.;)
Jayson: thanks my friend.always a pleasure to have you stop by.;)
n1agara: much appreciate your comment my friend.yeah,of course,I learned tons.especially about sculpting anatomy.I should thank Rafael Grassetti for his great tutorial about anatomy.helped me a lot.;)

diablo, somehow i missed your final sculpt. but glad i see it now. well done. now that is a solid looking guy. for a shield of this thickness, he needs quite some stregth to carry and use it, i suppose. but then he has enough muscles… great work.
thanks for mentioning the grasseti tutorial, i just ordered it, as i am a big fan of this guys work…

Thanks a lot doris.really glad you liked him. ;)yeah he’s a great artist & I’m a huge fan of his works too.

Hey buddy, incredible work on the warrior!
Maybe It deserves some work on the polypaint, it will stand out even more :+1:

thanks a lot my friend for checking out my work.super glad you liked him.I’ll do the texturing after making low_poly version.hope you like that one as well.thank you again.;)

I decided to finally go & make the game_res version of my models so I started with Dietrich.still tweaking the textures on his body but I finished his revolver.rendered in Marmoset 2.hope you like it.;);):+1:

Looks nice. The only suggestion I can give is maybe leave some hard edges not so worn-out (less scratches) since right now their distribution is a little bit even. Also you might want to add some long horizontal or diagonal scratches that usually appear when object was pulled (or dragged is a better word?) many times. Like when taking a gun from a holster or picking it from the ground.
PS I really like how Marmoset renders looks like. Is it really such a good software as many people talk around and is it hard to learn? Also, is it suited mostly for low-poly stuff or it is possible to use it for presenting middle-poly models (I didn’t find the info about limitations)? Also their site says that DX11 is recommended but my card isn’t supporting it. Is it still possible to achieve pretty images with DX10 or no?

thanks a lot my friend for your support.you’re totally right.I slept for five hours, woke up & then looked at those renders.just pure garbage.hehe:laughing: so I spent more time on it’s texture & here’s the result.about your question.Marmoset is an amazing realtime rendering engine.I love it.it’s easy to use, well documented & it’s also easy to master.it’s main use is for rendering low & middle poly models but you can also send your decimated model to it.and yes you can achieve pretty nice result with DX10 as well.as I said it’s just wonderful.thanks again for your awesome feedback.goodluck.;);):+1:
