My little corner with some ZB sculptures

The first work from this series. The monster.
This shader I wished to make similar to clay. I hope you like it.
Rendering by Vray RS, inspired by maddam :rage:

Top row stuff! 5 stars from me! It looks sooooo real, the rendering is past amazing!

This is the level of work I love to view first thing in the morning…WOW!!!

When I clicked on it, I thought you had real world sculpted this…To me nothing about it looks CG, because you have done such a realistic work…I think this is the most real world looking render that I have ever scene on this forum to date.

kudos

That looks great! the lighting and texture work well.

Very nice! I’m quite fond of the old monster, which is probably obvious considering the many posts that I have made of him here. As far as I’m concerned you can’t have too many Frankenstein’s monsters. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series. I hope they are of the other Universal classic monsters. I was hoping to get around to them all some day.

superb job… can i have the first mask pull

I second what others have said here, this is without doubt the most realistic render Ive seen here. I would be hard pressed to tell it was cg if you hadnt said otherwise. Fantastic work. Top row stuff. J

I’m confused, who is this supposed to look like? Arnold Shwartzenegger? :stuck_out_tongue:

Great work, this is truely a sculpture. It’s true, you can never really have too many Frankensteins, as long as they’re of this quality. Thanks for sharing your wireframe with us too, that really helps to understand the amount of work that went into this piece. I especially love the ears, I’m a big fan of ears. TOP ROW

Incredible job! Speaking of ears - I’m amazed at how good they came out
considering that they originated from such a simple base mesh. I usually
develope mine much further in the polygon modeling stage before going into
ZB. Perhaps I should rethink my workflow…

Like the rest I think it looks fantastic. I too thought it was a sculpt.

Care to take a moment to discuss your rendering process and shaders? Do you displace at render time? What shaders are you using?

Fantastic

Amazing work, beautiful render, and I thought Monstermaker had already done the definitve Frankie…I cant choose which I like best!
How many polys at top subdivision?

Well done. 5 stars and Top Row please.

Jit.

I was just looking at your past work, and realised that ā€˜Mongrel Girl’ is yours!
That’s my favourite pic from this whole site!!! You are God.

heya bro!

I can’t wait to see other images in this your ā€œlittle cornerā€.

Wow! You captured the essence of Karloff’s creature to a T! I can see the softer side of him because of the slight smile he has. The gentle giant…

5 stars and Top Row for this one…

Dickie

Thanks all. I am very glad.
You guys inspire me again and again

it is Vray material, no displace maps.
jit_gohil
It pure mesh, 6 level of subdivs about 800.000 polys.
But I used bump map for fine wrinkles.
The bump map has been generated with multi dicplacement 2 plugin.

I’m gonna write small ā€œmaking ofā€ (vray shader, lighting and render).
If it is interesting u
