The tweaks worked! looking great so far. I feel the shape of the ears is too well defined. I’m sure you’re still working on em though :D. He actually looks more appealing than he is in the concept art.

I spent a good 5 mins looking at him trying to work out what was wrong with him and couldnt find anything, just insignificant things like refining ears and little things you already know about. I could imagine his voice and he sounded like a 12-14 year old just starting to break into the deep voice. I know you wanted to keep it around the 5-6 year mark, but that would mean taking away a lot of his evil features to take him more towards the baby end of the scale. Then, is the 5-6 year range really the years where kids are little sh8ts? getting into trouble, falling in-love with your sister, having the abilty or intelligence to turn dads fuel tank he chopped out yesterday into a bomb so they can cross gator creek, to make a tree hut? I think that the 10-14 year mark is an excellent age group for an audience. You have your 5-10 year kids looking at this as their idols, and then you have your 10-15 year old kids that are thinking that this sort of stuff is happening to them now(which has to be acurate, mobile phones, ipods, Miley Cyrus, plastic guns that should be steel). Then your 15-20 year group that can get something out of it (usually unpolitically correct humour). And really I think the 15-20 year age group is your real target audience. Maybe its a cartoon that has advanced humour for adults, but its under the radar for parents not to notice (family guy, simpsons) lol! I’m starting to waffle now, and I should just stop lol. Its just that I’m wanting to work on this aswell now. I can totally picture what mischeif they get up, the kind of feelings they have for girls and what not. I don’t know what kind of characters you have already (other than whats in your website), but I have two characters I know of that would be a good fit for extending the stories. If you want I’ll email you the concepts (which I’ll have to start working on now and try and nail your style), I won’t start a thread or add them to this one, but i’ll give it a go if you like?

Wow man I love your work. The style is really nice, great models. I’m having issues trying to render a scene so I’m going to try and break it up as much as you have on the madusa image. It looks really nice man. Keep up the great work!

I finally got some time in zbrush today so I grabbed my medusa bust and after about 3 hours, transfomred it into this swamp creature thing. It was more to get warmed up and try some techniques for a big monster I plan to start soon. Hopy you guys dig it!

Hey guys, it’s been a while. I’ve been meaning to get back to this and add some work. Finally got some time tonight to add my latest.
I posted a new blog entry on the Robot site today for our latest theme, “monsters”. This was my take on an old Tom Savini character from the Tales From the Darkside series called “Lizzie”. Hope you guys dig it!
