i am speechless…if i say its the next big step it would make perfect sense…wow…!!
Truly awesome… Still can’t wait for goZ though
hollllyyyyyy ****. jizz
…
(I guess we should just let these kind of comments slide by and move on but I didn’t this time)
Everyone’s got their preference in what they want from an app ofcourse but you statement implying that it’s basically useless can be called bold.
Other people are showing magic with it every day… if you are not able to, does that say something about the app being clunky and buggy or possibly yourself?..
Great work PixoCrew! Shine on you crazy diamond!

I completely agree …
Hehe, I’ve often been frustrated with different 3D packages and then it’s easy to blame it on the software … : no software is perfect !
But when you see what a lot of artists are able to do then ultimately it’s all about your own attitude.
I’m loving ZBrush more and more and 3.5 shows a lot of promise …
Go Zbrush !
EDIT : Now where the h*ck is 3.5 ? I want it NOW !
INCREDIBLE ! That’s aboslutely Stuning
the end results need say nothing of the path taken to get there. and that is the point. can zbrush be used to make fantastic sculpts ? without question. but on the same token one could conceivably hammer a house together with the heel of a sturdy boot. this doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the smartest way of getting the job done
feature for feature zbrush is in a class all its own. but if we’re talking workflows it’s as stupid as hitting nails with old shoes
Will it be GoZ for Max when 3.5 finally comes out?
maybe nao?
I find the lack of critical inquiry on these boards disturbing. After the overhyped fiasko that was ZB3.0 (well not fiasko exactly, but on the scale between what it was and what it was said to be, it ranked quite low) I can’t quite get excited before actually trying the new stuff.
The “freedon to explore and create at the speed of imagination” has been, and likely will be dramatically crippled by the usual mesh problems and having to remesh after big changes. People seem to regard this as necessary evil, quite like manual unwrapping in the past, so there’s no pressure for innovation or development. Hopefully I’m wrong and this is being addressed, but not holding my breath over it.
I was actually quite delighted by the new zspheres. Though not entirely unique system, the implementation seems fairly fluent and functional together with mesh sculpting. There are couple of problematic areas that I can think of that weren’t shown in either demo, so won’t be singing praises just yet.
You can also paint with a brick or texture with MSpaint and do photoreal work, but I can’t see why you’d want to do that. You kinda misinterpreted him though, he’s just saying the same as I, that pixologic has a history of doing a bit sloppy/half hearted job at implementing new things and hyping them well in advance.
ZB is a good program and probably the best one available. I’m just saying that it might be a whole lot better if people stopped praising all the good things and started criticising the bad things.
honestly…singing praises has happened quite a lot but is justified. Think back just a while back and you will remember that pixologic was getting the major bashing and lots of people were very critical, which was also justified to some degree
nothing wrong with excitement
3.5 arrive to leave someday???
grouch!
in both videos i didn’t see any zsphere deleting which is worrisome.
anyway.
“almost there…”

I too am excited about zbrush 3.5. I loved zspheres from the word go and thought they were an excellent prototyping/concept modeling tool.
However I also could not shake the feeling that the tool was only half finished. The fact that there is now a zspheres 2 does prove a point.
I think that is what people mean when they refer to half finished ideas.
I will wait to see how these new zsphere tools translate into polygon models, before singing zbrush praises.
We have now gone from a zbrush 4 release in august to a zbrush 3.5 with goZ and an xtra feature, to a zbrush 3.5 with only the xtra feature and even that is now delayed another week. It is a dangerous game to promise things and only half deliver.
Having less features but having them on time is more important to me than having lots of new features, that only half work or are only half finished.
That said I will be eagerly awaiting my email to try out the amazing new zspheres.

Come on Z dudes! Post another video, this one is wearing off!!!
super awesome!!
Don’t fret Haamu, you don’t have to download it when it comes out.
Personally, I’m not in praise, I’m in pants wetting, mouthwatering, can’t think about anything else, anticipation for the update.
Don’t know if it will be buggy, but as long as it doesn’t crash every other minute, I’ll be fine.
I don’t own any other software that gives me free updates to full versions of itself YEARS later. I started a 2.0. What other software company does that? Can you name 2? I think everyone that has owned the software for more than a year (even 3 months) and downloads a free upgrade with new features should give them a thumbs up!
If it’s buggy, they’ll fix it. If the new features suck b@!!z, then don’t use’m. Alll the other featues are tried and true.
I for one would like to say …Bravo Pixologic, Bravo.
!!!1Now where’s the update!!!
