*** More about ZBrush 3.5

However I also could not shake the feeling that the tool was only half finished. The fact that there is now a zspheres 2 does prove a point.

As long as these ‘half finished’ features are implemented later on, I thinks it’s not that bad. Many companies release software that isn’t even half finished an far from stable. Instead of bugfixing features, they implement new ones wich are unusable, because of newly introduced bugs. If these updates cost you money - it’s even more sad.

I didn’t have this experience with ZBrush yet - so keep on the good work.
I’m awaiting the free upgrade-release

Bravo, pixologic never ceases to amaze me.

Thanks so much for these tools.:+1:

I would if there were any bad things to criticize. Seriously, one of the few programs where I am totally satisfied with my purchase. Once I finally learned all of the tools and techniques I find the only limitation is myself. By that I don’t mean it in a buzzword way but by laziness. I should be putting out twice the amount of content but that’s not ZBrush’s fault.

Okay, there’s a point I could criticize. ZBrush’s documentation sucks. It’s gotten much better over the years with the wiki and other elements but I would really love something like an official manual.

Edit:
Forgot to ask, anyone gotten an email yet?

I enjoy creating scenes in Maya and get a great feeling of accomplishment
when i finally render out the scene. I also enjoy the Adobe CS4 Master Appz.
I use many, many different appz for my pleasure but never have used any
software that compares to the magical Zbrush. It’s far and above any other
app i have seen. When i complete a model in Zbrush, i always find myself
saying, “Now that’s why i started in the 3d art world to begin with.”

Just my opinion

go out and enjoy the sun, from support center:

:frowning: thanks anyways

wowwwwww…

Thanx pixologic Thanx.fantastic!

yesterday was boring, all the time i thought:

I’m sitting here in a boring room,
it’s just another rainy sunday afternoon,
I’m waisting my time, I got nothing to do,
I’m hanging around, I’m waiting for you,
but nothing ever happens and I wonder…

So ZB is the best program available, and yet still not worthy of praise by your enlightened estimation.

Your opinions are silly.

funny, didnt receave anything from support center, and the main page hasn’t been updated with this info (in the support center)
has anybody else appart from Erklaerbar recieved anything?

It wasn’t sent out, it’s posted as an addendum to the 8/28 article on the support page.

Wow,… I think I need to go change my shorts.

Awesome work guys.

Bingo_Jackson:
cant see any “addendum” to the 8/28 article on the support page?

https://support.pixologic.com/index.php?_m=news&_a=viewnews&newsid=10

o man, found it…was looking directly at the post, that sucks :frowning:
Althought there is a big “MAY be a delayed”
ill just stop checking my mails and the forums for now…
laters peeps!

Well, my opinion is Pixologic does huge efforts to truely innovate in the field of DCC, differently from other companies which add some kinda feature, without actually thinking how can we project a better way to solve this problem?
This is what Pixologic wants to prove when projecting new tools.

This being said, there are surely things i would like to see happen within ZB hich I still don’t see, like

layers for painting with polypaint,
layered PSD support connected to polypaint
multiple texture per object support,
better retopology toolset

things which are IMO, needed,
But, this doesn’t mean Pixologic sucks.

The new tools are highly welcome, If they will work as shown, they are excellent stuff for sure.
So, some level of excitement is justified and logic.

To all the good people at pixologic…

Please…take all the time you need…get it right…decide amongst yourselves if 3.5 is ready yet…if it is, go to the pub and celebrate…drink too much…have some fast food on the way home…then sleep like angels.

Then…and ONLY then…go back to work refreshed and inspired…look at the update and all sit in a room and vote if its ready…THEN…think about telling us when it will be released.

I love you guys so much but your driving me crazzzzzyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Sincerely,

Peter Minister

I have just recently purchased Zbrush already loving the application from using the trail and I must say the cost of this program is well worth the money hands down. What made me pull the trigger on purchasing the app was the GoZ add on. Absolutely one of the best ideas on the market for productivity and workflow. And then they surprise us with something like this. I think this is the best invested piece of software I have ever purchased. This is one of the first applications that allowed me to express my idea very quickly and at a high quality result. I am definitely a fan for life!

Pixologic,

Your team behind this software is just brilliant. I am so impressed with every little detail the program has to offer its mind blowing and yet you always find ways to make the next step just that much more awe inspiring. I think your company has a firm footprint in the Digital Media industry and its getting bigger! If I ever get a chance to start a small studio, I’m calling you guys first because this is a must have app. I recommend it to all my fellow modelers. The community surrounding this company is amazing as well and I tip my hat to all of you! As much as it seems small coming from one person, I think we all can say “Thank you.”

Wow! Awesome new features shown which aren’t just clutter and window trim features. These are mind blowing enhancements to already successful tools. Pixo must have been built around a fountain of Mojo which brings out the best of creativity and innovation in them.

Keep in mind when mentioning what is not there that 3.5 is an interim version. Zbrush 4 is still to come… Who knows what goodies are in that.

Cheers
