man theres like an explosion of detail!! did you use alphas or sculpt the details with other tools?? Great job man you have greatly improved on your zbrush skills!!!
nervelink_ thanks and it is all worked out with the standard brush and the clay brush. there is still work to be done. 40 minutes of painting only.
kursadk_ yeah some scales need to be scuted yet. the flat background bores me to death thats why I overlay a fog texture (its to strong for my tastes right now its at 100% and it should be about 50%). I work in film, so camera perspective feels more natural to my eyes but I may move it closer to 35 mm.
This is just crazy man. Great work. I’m sure with ZBOSX in your hands, you’ll be chopping out incredible monsters left and right! Can’t wait to see this one in it’s finished state.

I’m just going to second what Kursad said. Tone down some of the scales so dino doesn’t look so uniformally bumpy, and use a background that doesn’t compete with your model for the eye’s attention.
Good work though, he looks mean for sure!
