ok the wings are described as comb-like, fan-like, glandular tubes that spread spores. some how after they lost their technology… they have forgotten how to fly. the wings will fold up into the furrows.

Turning out interesting, has kind of a retro feel to it which is cool. Maybe refine the basic shapes a bit more.

I don’t know how you know how to do this creature John, do you have a HPL creature/Beastiary like the D and D Monster manual as ref. I Googled this creature and found only the top half in a pencil sketch by someone, which looks exactly how you have done it.
I only ask because I have heard HPL mentioned many times before, but never read any, and I’m wondering what other amazing stuff there is in his works.
Not that I don’t read, I try and pick the best and sometimes that leads you in another direction.

Baz, my friend, that was an unnecessary shot. What we do here is to further our personal art and skill with Zbrush. We could do so privately and only show finished work.
Hopefully no one comes here only looking for a way out of boredom.
