Medea

Hi all here is a finished peace I’ve been sitting on a while .
One of my new years resolutions was to be more web active ,
and a little less self critical .
So here is my Medea , done using Zbrush, 3d max and Photoshop .
Hope you like .

Hey!

I like it! nice setting ang very nice sculpt1 teh render could use some more work. there is sometheing missing in the atmosfere, more ambiance. The tabel does not cast any shadows on the floor. Other than that very nice image!:+1:

Peace

Very impressive piece. I would love to see the zbrush model

thats very nice as it goes. the only thing thats missing for me is shaddow in the corner behind the figure and under the window where the light would not be direct. and possibly softer focus on some of the rear areas too.

great sculpt, love the dress.

Hi guys thanks for all the kind words .
Crazy Horse I was having trouble loosing allot of the back ground detail when I went darker, so the shadows suffered some .
this is my first attempt at a multi pass render its ambient and color only, haven’t worked in a z depth pass yet it might help
some .
Eiad here is a shot of the base mod in zbrush hope you like

Digi-mech I’m hoping to hone my render skills , if nothing else since I have no plans of animating my work , at least
pull it together in photo shop .

its grate getting feed back from you guys
you are all really talented . thanks for taking the time .

ps. Digi-mech as a d&d head from way back I gotta say I love the miniatures .

3dmob Thanks man , been following your stuff for a while now I’m flattered by your comment .

Hi all

punched up the contrast a bit , added more shadows ,and light rays for atmosphere .

I’m starting to think twice about the items on the shelf.

they are starting to look a bit busy to me now , I might just eliminate them all together, add a tapestry or something muted

like that . :qu:

keep going!

geat work! congrats

Sometimes less is more …
When I first started on this piece, I quickly became enamored with
3D max’s pro materials , and all the neat little objects they let me create .
unfortunately this left my piece crowded and unfocused .

As bernardoyang

pointed out it killed my depth of field flattening my work .

So after all these years of work I still have to remind myself …
Sometimes less is more .

Wonderful image! Reminds me paintings of dutch masters. A very well done drapery BTW!
eh, where is the knife?

Came out Beautiful…:+1:Luv the way the light leads me on the journy throughout the piece and takes me back to the focal point of interest, which is where I began the journy…Great job…:+1:small_orange_diamond:)
