MattSkinny's Zbrush Studies: Fantastic Heads

As for the heads, I made a chart of the body studies I did over the last months.
I tried to make every sculpt a learning experience, mainly about anatomy, but also basemeshes, posing, fast detailing, and rendering.

EDIT: just had to fix the ape render, take one out that didn’t fit and add a new, corrected head overview, because I wanted to have both on one page
but there are more sculpts in the thread, and color, different materials, views and lighting
thx

Love the clay look! It’s not a Matcap, is it?

Awesome work :+1:

chalkman - thank you so much! You should make an overview like this sometime, given how much great images you turn out!
santis - thanks man, 2 matcap channels actually, 1 sss and 1 basic to pick up some lightcap
lt_ken84 - thanks mate
gkhnaltay - thanks, glad you thinks so!

Sorry for the late reply, but I wanted to tweak the mat a bit, make it less harsh

Excellent work!

Impressive studies. I really like how you captured Bruce Willis and managed to age him in a realistic way.

charge5 - thanks a lot!
Ouran - Thank you, I have to admit that I didn’t plan to age him, but went along with it after the first deep wrinkles…Glad you think he turned out well

Hi guys,
After the heads and bodies, I want to try different things, while keeping up the fibermesh and BPR studies.
Here’s a character concept, a Silent Philosopher, watching out for the approaching storm.

Love it absolutely! Great sculpt, mouth/hands/cloth everything, would be great to see him polypainted and rendered :+1:
