***** EDIT: PC AND MAC VERSION (ZB 3.12) NOW AVAILABLE *****
I finally found some time to throw these mats I’ve been working on together and post them. I’ve worked over a period of several months on the realistic skin shader alone (starting back in ZBrush 2!) so I hope you all get good use out of them.
A. Realistic Skin (quad shader) - Below I’ll post a few directions on how to use it. It’s a bit tricky.
B. Another skin quad shader. A bit more subdued than the realistic one.
C. Basic Flesh Matcap material.
D. Verdi Gris Bronze
E. Antique Bronze
F. Bronze with highlights - there’s a couple small light sources from the sides in the matcap texture to give a little more interest.
G. & H. Sculpting Material 1 & 2 - I made these to try to come up with some mats which are good while sculpting in realtime.
I. Rusted Iron - I tried to upgrade Jantim’s mats to work well with ZBrush 3 and this is about as close as I got so far. I’m still working on it, but I think it’s decent enough to upload.
Here’s the links to the materials:
And now for the explanation of the Realistic Skin quadshader. In the first image below I added a swatch of color showing the skin color I used. Obviously that can vary, but I find that color works pretty well.
Also, the shader is very sensitive to the light settings so I put these images together with some notes which should help you to use them.
