No software developer can be expected to release copies of software simultaneous to the quantity of Zbrushers there are…think of how hard it would be to download if we were all tapping the same servers at the same time. Chaos. We all need to be reasonable, Pixologic is doing their best.

Well it should still be possible to have a realx brush for meshes without subdiv history? i use the relax brush in Maya (which has both smooth that loses volume and relax wich preserves the volume) whenever i want to spread evenly topology without eating out volume (which smooth does) i use this…

would be cool to be able to have it at least for this cases…i could retopo a production topology then without subdivs relax it (with brushes instead of just a slider) and thassit

Nice one. Now lets see if I can find if SUV and Retopology back visability has been fixed. Looking so far there seems to be some very good additional features that will be of great use like freeze Subdivision levels, Optimize point order, these smaller things are for me the biggest features as they help with my workflow in general.

Aw no 64 bit support it seems :frowning: That was my biggest wish but I LOVE the Dynameshes!

i totally agree… the SUV problem is the biggest issue in terms of production pipelines… i have no idea why this issue hasn´t been taken care of yet.
i wrote to pixo about this, opened threads, but i guess this is something like pixo´s “blind spot”…

Thats coming in ZB5, I was not expecting 64 bit as there was not even a hint on such a huge addition. I cant find a fix list, which is realy what I wanted to see, and looking at the docs I can not see anything about retopology or the loooong awaited fix for SUV (Smooth Uvs) for texture maps. I realy like the new features shown, and look forward to having fun with them, but to me at least, the power of this revision comes from fixes and improovments on what was already there, or essencialy needed, the extras are my iceing on the cake. :slight_smile:

Its seriously cool, but I have no idea why it all went grey, that happens to me sometimes and Its permanent, once a object does that its stuck.

Ah I see what you’re saying. I think they already have that in ZB… Next time you use the smooth brush, hold down shift then start using the brush; then while still using the smooth brush release the shift button, and keep smoothing. See if that’s the effect you’re after.
