Making Time For Art #4 - "Clay Time"

Waiting for that golden ticket

This has nothing really to do with Claytime. But thought it would be amazing if Zsphere rigs could be exported out with the GoZ information and retain the weighting translated over to joints in Maya. Not sure if there is a way to do this but i love the weighting that Zspheres have.

Oh, guys, when you get your copies, I hope you don’t mind making a video and Up them on youtube? Please?

Even a feature list would be nice, if thats ok. I understand there is documentation with the download. Sorry to the admin people if this is a question I should not be asking

To clarify : I’m not asking any administrator of this forum representing Pixologic to divulge any more information, this is a query to my fellow ZBrush artists.

There will be documentation with the release, it will be in the same directory as Zbrush in a “Documentation” directory

—EDIT: I misread your post, nevermind!

GRIN!

I think there’s a little wet spot on my pants please excuse me…

Please update me first with R2 thanks

-chuckle-

For those who have been using ZBrush for longer than version 4, we know
the forums should light up this time tomorrow with
" omgIdidntgetmahemailyetaaaaahhhhhSPARTAAAAAAAA "

To those of you polishing your armor and fluffing your headgear, take a deep
breath and think calming thoughts

Pixologic won’t forget about you, just they have a bazillion emails to send out
and spacing it out a bit will keep the server from becoming a mushroom cloud
if everyone tried to hit it at once.

As for the video, you guys never cease to impress that’s for sure. You certainly
have come a long way since the initial release. Kudos.

If this was an epic video game coming out to be released at midnight at big box I would already be camped out in line to pick it up and the great thing about that daydream is they just hand it out an not charge me $60 LOL

-seriously tho I am thinking about a fresh install and my question is should I reinstall zbrush 4 before or after I get the update downloaded. my thought is this, I have 2 intel SSD had drives and I made the mistake of installing zbrush onto the drive that contains my OS and I want it on the other so im thinking this might be the perfect time for a reinstall. what are your thoughts?

That is hilarious.

If you are a registered Zbrush user, Pixologic support already answered this one for you in the email they’ve sent out to all Zbrush licenced users.

Yeah. I wouldn’t touch the current install until you have the upgrade in place. From the main page:

Note: Do not de-activate ZBrush 4 or un-install it prior to installing the upgrade! The download link in your upgrade email will deliver the ZBrush 4R2 installer. After downloading, double-click the installer to launch it. The installer will guide you through the installation options. The “Complete” installation option is recommended. This installs ZBrush in the default location and with all included plugins and documentation. Note: Should you wish to make changes to the default options (such as specifying a different installation location) you may choose the “Custom” install option.

Thanks everyone I probably could have searched out a better place to ask that so I appreciate it. Aurick actually bothered to msg me with advice as well. Thats what I like about this community! You know I am a registered user for over a year now and I looked back at my email from the last month or so and dont see email about this update from pixologic. should I look back further? :+1:

Look in your spam folder if you have one. I think they sent out a LOT of that mail and it got flagged in a few places.

Or search for:
“ZBrush 4R2 Upgrade Preview”

so is this gonna take the place of zpheres? is it gonna be in 64 bit?

ok i searched my email for “ZBrush 4R2 Upgrade Preview”
inbox and spam folder nothing and i remember empty spam folder recently
is this going to be a problem tomorrow?

I wouldn’t think so as the information is also posted here on the website.
http://www.pixologic.com/zbrush/upgrade/

Make sure that you check your spam folder over the next week though just in case for cleverbridge or pixologic emails.

Cheers

Mike

Is it the 20th yet!?

Yes, but only in the VERY near future.
