this is freaking awesome 1!!!`1

he looks great maddy!

nice character,like the color scheme on face,just one thing and i think the helix of ears is a little flat,keep it up…:slight_smile:

Luigi looks great. Really like the coloring and subtle detailing you have on his face. Eyes are glossy too which is nice.

I’d watch out in the future for the depth cue effect you got. You got a double line that’s outlining him and its not the normal Chromatic Aberration effect. If your using depth cue in zbrush, I’d lower the intensity to 60-70 and the softness to 2 to get a decent baseline setting. Than for the start of the blur I would select the further part of the face and probably his nose. You can just click and drag out the two depth point from the drop down menu rather than inputting the numbers.

@slocik: Thank you! :slight_smile:
@theflu: Thanks so much! :smiley:
@3mm: Thank you :slight_smile: And I will keep that in mind
@womball: Thanks! Actually The depth cue is post editing in photoshop, so it isn’t that accurate. I was trying to finish the piece quickly so I could move onto the next. :slight_smile:

Here’s my first next-gen game ready model I’ve ever done. I finished this in November of 2010 and just now I’ve gotten permission to post it. I know there are a LOT of errors and proportional issues, etc. but I’ve learned a lot from making this model.

Please note that the rigging, weapon, and poses were not done by me. These were done by other members on my team for Tactical Assault! If you haven’t heard of us, please check out our game at www.tactical-assault.com

Please excuse the mistakes and I hope you enjoy it! :smiley:

This looks really cool. I’m guessing the Marmoset Toolbag is what you’re using for those neat SSS effects. Questions though: is there a particular reason why you mapped her hair that way? I’m not suggesting you’re way is bad or anything, I just want to learn the method to this madness :smiley:

Haha well I would call it a noob mistake since I never made hair planes before then. I started to resize and warp the hair strands I had duplicated, and instead of taking the time to go back (being on a deadline) I decided to unwrap each piece individually. So I would suggest not doing hair that way, ever! :lol: And thank you :smiley:

Very nice works…Congrats!!..:+1:
Cheers

Excellent job sis ! I’ll give only one crit on the arms, especially on the low poly. I know you’re aware about some mistakes but i hope pointing it out will help. ^^
The arms seems to bend in a strange way, especially on the lowpoly… still it’s not too visible when she holds the rifle. Again on the arms, i only regret a small lack of biceps and triceps development on a trained girl.
I really like the face and the skin shader. Nice !

Some nice work here!

Is this for a title due for release or just a collaboration among friends?

I don’t know if its just me, but it looks a little like the green channel on the normal map for your swat girl may be inverted. It just seems to be rendering oddly in a few places.

On the whole good stuff for a first run at a next gen character, and as you said from what you have learnt this time round your next will be that much greater. Keep it up :slight_smile:

good design. It looks functional, practical and believable.

Great sketchbook :sunglasses: :+1:
