MaddyTaylor's sketchbook

Hey guys! I’m new to zbrushCentral. I am a 19 yr old female and I’ve been practicing as a 3d artist since August of 2009. I will be updating every few days with either a WIP project or studies. Any type of input is greatly appreciated. Excited to finally join up on this wonderful forum.

I haven’t made any males really so I hope he’s not too feminine… back to more practice!

Hey Maddy !

Welcome to ZBC ! Those speed sculpts are looking really nice and interesting. Keep on practicing and posting them. I cant wait to see some more studies.

All the best,

Hasan

Great! the models they are great!

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Been moving like crazy the past few days. Finally was able to settle down and start a new sculpt today. Did a quick elf head and paint over. Finishing tonight or tomorrow. These are so fun! ^___^

Welcome to the club! Nice head sculpts…can’t wait to see what you can do on a longer piece. Keep it up!

Great work!

very nice character !!! :+1:

Nice, sensuous lips.

The male head is not too feminine, but is definitely leaning that way; he certainly isn’t ‘craggy’. His nose is rather fine for a man, but not out of the realms of the possible.

If you wanted a more masculine type, you’d best lower the eyebrow ridge.

I think the ears should probably be moved down a bit for the lobes to lie on a level with the base of the nose.

Cheers,

Rory

sarakawa, Efstratios, filoppo - Thank you very much!

Rory_L - Thanks and I shall keep that in mind for my next sculpt.

Here’s the finished elf, guys. Tried making it fast still. I really like the sculpt, but I’m brand new to polypainting and I think I ruined it? Your thoughts.

Another man attempt next sculpt.

Looks really good. I like the darker version on the right. The skin tone just looks better to me for some reason. Again nice job.

GOOD update !

The sculpts have a lot of individuality about them. Well done.

Keep up the great work.

Paul.

mnmava - I have to agree. And thank you

filoppo - Thanks!

Paul from Australia - Thank you very much

Here’s a new 1 out of 2 hour piece I’ve just started. Decided to try and sculpt the head of one of dustsplat’s character concepts “Lodor”. Will have the final up tomorrow.

Next speed sculpt will be a fanart female…any suggestions?

GREAT stuff! And I like your Deviant gallery. More! :+1:

EricShawn - Thanks

I’ve been working on this one head a lot more and decided to try and make it a realistic head study. I want to work on it until it’s perfected.

C&C very welcome. [![icon.jpg|110x60](upload://6VYdcs0nvIbfPW66Bnp2qaWIgHo.jpeg)]![critiquehead.jpg|1200x699](upload://7uYCotVw54xEyA3W0TWbNtTa8nn.jpeg)

Looking great so far! I’d give the ears some more attention though. They look a bit unnatural.

Mikademius - I’ll get right on that

Here's a 50 min speedie. He's pretty much a remake of my piece "Cheesyface" on DeviantArt. Demon/Something/Creature. Enjoy. [![demonicon.jpg|110x60](upload://1BG7BoSQqyIN0LZyr2AVNyhHqFk.jpeg)](javascript:zb_insimg('199011','cheesyface.jpg',1,0))
