I generally try to give developers the benefit of the doubt.
They know things we don’t, they see problems we don’t, and there are still problems even they don’t see, which makes predicting timetables incredibly difficult.
Good things come to those who wait, and patience is a virtue. True.
But I’d be lying if I said that I don’t regret spending my money. I’m not trying to flamebait or unnecessarily rag on Pix on their own forum, and I’d hate to be the cause of another thread lockage, but in all honesty, I think I’d be better off at this particular moment if I saved an extra few hundred and sprung for Modo… I’m sorry to sound like such a jerk, but my hopes have been elevated and dropped consistently and repetitively. In all honesty, I wouldn’t put money on anything earlier than December. Who knows, maybe I’m hyperbolizing here, but I don’t see how I can take any “it’s coming, soon” as a genuine reason to anticipate anything anymore. I hate to say it, but this has taken a completely exorbitant amount of time.
The only thing that can justify this kind of wait is the quality of the final product. In short, ZB3 had better be nothing short of jaw-droppingly spectacular. I had better be running to my toilet, embarrassed for having pooped myself at its awesomeness the first minute I run it.
Again, I apologize if I’ve offended anyone, but this is merely the situation as I see it. I harbor no ill will towards Pixologic and I understand that the devs are doing their best. Let’s just say I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt for so long that I’ve run out of benefit. If that makes any sense…
