Mac OS X 3.12 Upgrade Support Center - Read Initial Post Before Posting

I am still waiting :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

I wish I knew if emails will still be sent out over night

Same here, I’m dreading the leopard upgrade…

Aurick- Is Leopard completely necessary for ZB3 Mac? or is it more like… there are problems with 10.4 and you’d rather not mess with all that.

It really sucks to have to wait in line. Especially when no one will tell you where the line begins, ends, or how long it is.

i too wish i knew if they were going to be updating tonight

but seeing as not staff has responded lately, i doubt it =(

its 7 in CA now.

yeah, i think i’m waaay in the back. i do have a lot going on right now and wouldn’t be able to mess with it until tomorrow night anyways, so i’m just hoping by then…

what really sucks is having received my download link at 10:15 am this morning, it was a dead link, sent my request to ā€œcleverbridgeā€ and nearly 10 hrs later…nothing

As far as I can tell my issue isn’t specifically listed in the updated redeeming ZB troubles. My Download link has expired. It was only valid for 15 minuets after answering the questionnaire, and ā€œonly available onceā€ for 14 days (as I recall it said) is this the issue that they are sending new emails out for? Because when I try to start at the beginning I am shot down with a ā€œlink expiredā€ page at cloverbridge.

Me neither Kenneth, me neither.
Frustating ! Isn’t ?
And I think I’m one the fastetst one to send my upgrade from

The fact that some plugins are not working in 3.12 is NOT a bug.

All plugins that have been officially released by Pixologic will be tested by our staff for compatibility with 3.12 and then re-released. Some may require changes before they can be released again, and some may not be possible for 3.12 at all. (ZMapper falls in this category.)

All plugins that were released by OTHER authors will need to be updated by those authors before they could work with 3.12. Not all plugins from earlier ZBrush versions will be affected, and some that are affected will be very easy to fix. But it will be up to the individual author.

(By the way, ZMapper is no longer required for things like creating normal maps with arbitrary meshes – one of the biggest reasons why it was created in the first place. That is now possible – and very easy – through the use of a morph target and ProjectAll. In fact, you have much more control and flexibility with this method, can use more than just two meshes, and you can also create displacement maps from arbitrary meshes. I’ll be posting more on this next week, but I’ve probably already said enough that some of you adventurous sorts will be able to figure it out for yourselves. ;))

Leopard is required at this time, if this changes, I’ll let you know:).

Sweet Aurick is still around! Aurick are upgrade emails still being sent out or have they stopped until tomorrow?

The automated ones are still going out. The manual ones will be starting up again tomorrow.

aaghh… that means im out for at least another day. See you tomorrow!

Thanks Aurick! I figured as much. I really dig this new version. Smooth.

So wait your telling me the bracket keys don’t change the brush size at all on a MAC?

HUH?

why not again ?

NICE! if I center that pic the right way it almost looks as if its running on my MAC

the ā€œsā€ key puts a draw size slider right under your pointer.

Poor Aurick… it’s like have a thousand children in the back seat asking ā€œAre we there yet??ā€

Thanks for the quick response though Aurick!

Alas poor Aurick, I knew him well. It seems he has gone to bed  .

Well lets look on the bright side. It’s here and some people have it. Just a few more days and I’m sure everything will be as right as rain.
