Mac OS X 3.12 Upgrade Support Center - Read Initial Post Before Posting

I’d sculpt one, but…

approximately 21 hours since i sent the mail før manual processing and still no download or licence email. I hope nothing is wrong with that

Quite right! Apologies for the pointless post though in my defense having already got ZB up and running I wasn’t about to go looking for answers to problems i didn’t have :wink:

Incidentally, I don’t understand the suggestion that opening your email in your ISP’s web browser should show the attachment. Firstly because my ISP doesn’t have a web browser (Pipex) isn’t AOL the only one that does? Even if it did I wouldn’t know how to open an email in a web browser!?

I’d be glad to put up some screen shots but what do you want to see? It looks just like the Windows version!

So still waiting here also. I sent the email to the mac address before 4 pm yesterday, well before, and still don’t have it. I have tried to be patient about this, but I just don’t get what you guys cant get done, this doesn’t seem like a huge issue. I cant imagine that many mac users bought this compared to a pc release or something. If it is cleaverbridge, you guys seriously need to get someone new to do this. But then again every release seems to be delayed or something, so i am not surprised.

Also, if we bought it now, would we be able to download it right away like it says on the site? If so, why would any of them be put in que before us? And how are there serials generated so quickly if this is the case?

I dont know why i posted, i guess I feel i need to vent a little.

It is referring to apple’s mail program not seeing the attachment. If you were to check it from the web based email site (such as gmail or hotmail) the attachment should show up. At least this is what I think the case is. I have not received my email yet so I’m not 100% sure.

What is going on? What went wrong?

i sent my email shortly after aurick posted, and got no email reply from them or cleverbridge over the night.

matthew emailed me, (after I emailed them) and confirmed that they did indeed get my email, and it did go out in the batch from last night.

so no need in sending more emails there way i suppose.

Lets just hope cleverbridge can be clever enough to send out the emails.

Been waiting all week. The only email i’ve received is that I would receive a notice when the download was available?

Man, am I not wearing the right sort of leather pants to gain entrance?

I’ve never understood this ‘limited’ downloads. Why not just offer Torrents and offload some of the bandwidth to users.

Luxology does this quite well.

Open the gates please. There can’t be too many of us OSX users who have been waiting over a year for this wonderful app.

I posted that one,

My domain (and email) is run through a GoDaddy account.
I normally read my email with Apple’s Mail program.
GoDaddy also allows you to access your email through a web page interface.

I could not see the attachment in Apple Mail,
I did see it normally in GoDaddy’s web page-email reader.

There is also another fix for this in the first post which I tried after learning about that and it also works. This involves closing the window and using the file menu to save the attachment.

The team that can generate and send the upgrade links is in Germany. That’s why the links were to go out “overnight” – that’s their day. :slight_smile:

Unfortunately, I have learned that it’s a holiday in Germany. This is what caused the delay.

But as I’ve said, we’re working with the good folks at Cleverbridge, and they understand the urgency of the situation. Some people are giving up their holiday evening so that they can get your upgrade links sent out here very soon.

Please be patient. Most of the upgrade links should be sent within the next several hours. The exception will be any requests that came in to me overnight, which will have to go into the next batch. I’ll let everyone know when that batch should expect to be processed just as soon as I have an ETA for it.

all i can express apart from my anxiousness is my gratitude for the generosity of all those involved. i can’t complain–it’s all free to me.

Damn. Some poor guys going to be pulled away from his plate of schnitzengruben and Lilly Von Schtupp records to come and fix this mess.

It’s worse than I thought.

It may be caused the recent passing of Paul Newman, but the phrase “What we have here is a failure to communicate” keeps ringing through my head the past few days…
