Mac OS X 3.12 Upgrade Support Center - Read Initial Post Before Posting

I get the same activation problem as Arndtvk, ryme, and psaldari (“The email address provided does not match with the serial key provided at the time of purchase. Please try again”).

Although I did change my email address on the upgrade form, I’ve tried both email addresses with no success. Have tried using Firefox as well as Safari, just incase it was a browser-related problem.

The only thing I can think of doing is waiting for several (5?) hours, then trying again: hoping the activation server gets access to more current information in that time.

If anyone has any other ideas, I’m open to suggestions, except for the suspiciously dangerous ones. :wink:

I requested the upgrade in mid september and I haven’t received the download email yet, so I guess I’m still in the queue. Although, it doesn’t sound promising for those in front of me so far.

How far down the line are we?

I dont actually know MotleyPete, I got my confirmation on the 5th, and it really looks like a mess for the people infront of us, I guess we should count our blessings, but even something like, your in cue but will have to wait a little longer would be great

I got my update request confirmation on the september 3rd. Silence since then from both pixologic and Cleverbridge. I was hoping to spend next weekend ZBrushing in OSX… But I’m starting to boubt that that is going to happen. :frowning:

In an ideal situation, the estimated time could be given simply by counting the amount of upgrades requested against the amount slotted in for daily download. Although, I’m probably asking a bit too much because their hands seem pretty full already with all the problems they are having.

Still, knowing loosely whether it will come in hours, days or weeks would be handy. I’m not sure how to plan my time. My base meshes couldn’t be any more ready than they are right now.

I got my confirmation on the 2nd Sept and have received no link yet. Although some people say they have it installed already and got their confirmation much later than that. I guess they are going out in a random order rather than first come first served. I hope I can be ZBrushing this weekend though. It’s been too long :slight_smile:

Though I completely understand the delay and as I previously said I really wouldnt like to be having to deal with all this, it doesn’t detract from the fact that we have been waiting 18 months, people were already having kittens and just giving up, those of us that stuck are yet again in the lurch, I’m sorry Pixo that your getting all this abuse but you cant blame us!

After entering my email adress and serial number online ,as they were asking, I was getting a email-error after selecting the ‘start activation’ button.
I have always used the same email adress. Wat is wrong here?

Well it’s almost 5am in California… so I’m hoping that maybe around noon I’ll have my link… i wasn’t slow to fill out the form, I think there are just more mac users than people think :slight_smile: Hopefully I’m in this mornings batch. Also I figure it will be butter smooth by now… I assumed that with all the technical issues they only sent out 1 batch or 2… since that would just be more gasoline on the fire to keep adding to the amount of people having issues.

I’ve decided to try the “email registration” route, hopefully that will meet with more success.

I’m kind of glad that I’m probably back in the queue somewhere. Maybe they’ll get their registration/copy protection/serial key issues ironed out before I spend too much time trying to get it to work. (Me no like "clever"bridge . . . been nothing but hassle.)

Errr, yeah, it is the e-mail address I’ve always used. Grrrr… so close, but yet so far… still won’t be able to use it until tomorrow… (sigh)

Well I got my link to the download now, but it’s not letting me activate it. They sent me the activation key to my email address along with a download link in that same email, so I enter the key and it says it doesn’t correspond with my email. What the heck. They are the ones who sent it to that address, and AFAIK that is the only one I’ve ever used for ZBrush? I don’t get it? :lol: :cry:

After waiting another day while they fix my dead email, now it says
I don’t have the right email address to activate???

You sent me the install info TO that email address.

What do I have to do to get this over with!!???

I tried the web activation - FAIL
I tried the email activation - which IF that works will now be another 2 days of this crap, or it will also FAIL.

How can such a professional piece of software be run by such an unprofessional system?

What do I do now??? (sounds like I’m not alone with this either)

I’ve never used any other email address with these guys. The more important question though is who the hell cares if it doesn’t match? I’m on file, I checked out, Cleverbridge sent me a download link and serial number. Don’t worry about my email address. It’s my email address, and I can use whatever address I want whenever I want.

I had similar problems with Z2, serial numbers invalid even though it’s the one they gave me. In my 20+ years of computing I have never had this much trouble using a piece of software. So someone explain to me how these guys can make such a brilliant app, and yet____________________ (intentionally left blank because I don’t even know where to begin).
