I like the vampire. love the details you put on him.
If you still working around the anatomy of the vampire, maybe you could try to extend the pelvis sideway to make more width to the hip just like what you did at the latest man model:)

Chris: I have been looking at a lot of ecorche imagery. I reckon you are totally right. I need to do some more ecorche studies.
Tony: I had huge issues with the topo of the wings under the arms of the vampire when I tried to pose him. I should have incorporated the pose earlier into the sculpt or done some major retopo. I see totally what you are saying about the pelvis width being too narrow too. Just saw your last sculpt. Great likeness. Well done.

Apron or no apron??? What do you think?
I’m leaning towards no apron.
I tried to address some anatomy issues on the shins and forearms. Its not perfect, but I’m trying.

I would have to agree that the apron is better. Not only does it give him more character, its looks better.
Also short shorts just don’t strike fear into me like aprons do. Haha.

I tried to develop some of the anatomy of my last sculpt.
Not happy with the anatomy work of this sculpt. Feels really cartoony and basic. Finding that my anatomy sculpting is quite a challenge, but thought I’d share my work. I have been reading lots of anatomy books and using reference but I seem to struggle to translate the subtleties of what I see in my reference onto thew sculpt. Any advice welcome.

Yeah I agree the proportions are really great! Keep playing with the muscle anatomy. I sort of like were the earlier version was going. It would be cool to see a more sinewy type treatment with the muscle structure playing with the striations of how the muscle is connected in relationship with the skin. Good stuff!

The sinewy look and muscles striations were the feel I was trying for but couldn’t really get it to work. If you know of any tips or workflows to help develop muscle striations on a sculpt that would be great. I have tried using Clay buildup brush but I still can’t get the look I want.
