Hey Kurt
I was just wondering if you could post the video you mentioned on your blog about the Ink Blot development in Zbrush.
Am super curious to see what you do with it.

Great work ,Cyclops is awesome
This is completely awesome, Kurt!
I was curious, from seeing your wip video, did you use the new twirl brush on the eyes? And I have to say, I love the random spin of your camera angles, and would love to know what kind of settings you make to the movie pallet.
Wow, that timelapse was hypnotizing!
Love the new way these new videos look, and with that music, and alien… it was just awesome. Very inspiring!

Really great work, as always. You can definitely see a lot of progression in this sketchbook, with your work getting more and more interesting.
I would also like to know how you did those camera moves in your movie. Really nice way to show a time lapse!

Thank you for the video’s too. always excellent to watch and learn from others.
Cheers!
Man all your stuff is too retardedly good.
Quick question. What material were you using at the start of the Siggraph video? It was kind-of a white marble-ish material. I dig it alot.
Hey KP
Where’s your blog gone???
I check it out all the time to get my slice of KP inspiration.
Thank you all for the kind words! Really is awesome to hear from you all
Hey everyone! Here is a character I recently completed for 3DArtist Magazine. You can find a full breakdown of how I constructed her in issue 47, just released! I had a lot of fun making the character, writing the article, as well as completing an interview for another section of the magazine! Very exciting
If you buy a copy for yourself, you will also get a bunch of my models and brushes, including IMM brushes! Hope you all like!
Now to answer some questions -
koro - What you saw was the Spiral brush to get that sudden spin on the sculpt. My settings are practically default, what I change is the positioning settings, I make their numbers larger, creating less movement and keeping the sculpt centered in the camera’s view.
O/MI - I use a wide range of brushes, but typically Clay Buildup, Dam_Standard, Inflate, and Standard. That is for when I’m doing creature work mostly. For hard surface stuff I will use Clip Curve, Polish, Pinch and Dam_Standard again.
Nyx702 - the material you saw was a modified Skinshade04 with custom lighting. The scene was actually kind of broken when I loaded it, I forgot to change some settings before I took it to Siggraph haha.
laurie - My blog moved to Ikameka.blogspot.com
