Khurram. H. Alavi - Sketches/Work Dump

Thanks a lot guys! Seeing magneto printed was a feast for me as well! I love how they’ve managed to maintain the floating effect considering the scale and weight of the piece.

polaroid29: The photographs are of the final products, so yes, those are prints of the digital sculpts that I’ve posted. I think Disney handled the paints and production for these. These came to me as a freelance gig. I was very lucky and fortunate to have had the chance to work on this line. To get into this line of work, visit the comic cons and try to expand your network with the collectibles industry people that go there.

Excellent work!

Thanks Sean!

Still in progress… This piece was meant to serve as a companion to the Akuma statue shared earlier.
Ignore the basic underwear please… XD.

Great sculpt.

lovin the sculpt man! great job! nice undies!

awesome on so many levels but don’t you think the six-pack creasing is a little out of control. they’re sticking out past the pecks in the side view.

Thanks!
The musculature is indeed over-the-top, but that’s how the capcom style is, rough and out of control.
The body is going to be covered with actual cloth in the end, so enhanced musculature is extremely important in order to make the folds to look good.

Here is Wonder Man! I love his retro costume design. The sculpted version is the classic version, for which the reference image is attached as well.
This was a private commission.

Thanks magbhitu!
Here’s one more… This time it’s Shazam! also known as Captain MArvel from DC Comics.
The aim was to depict the character in a way that stays true to the three references attached.

Here’s one more before I turn in for the night.

That is one clean sculpt! I love the Sniper in TF  awesome work

every single sculpt is amazing. Would it be to much to ask for a time-lapse video? Thanks again for sharing your sculpts

powerful work.

Thanks guys.

nassosa: It’s not too much to ask for at all :). I’ve also started a youtube channel channel where I will be posting time-lapse videos in the months to come. Just haven’t been able to take out the time as yet…
Thanks again for liking my work!

This was done last year, but something I would still like to label as a work-in-progress.
It is the depiction of Psylocke from her pre- Jim Lee days.

Source of inspiration was an Adam Hugh illustration(Bosom included!) that is attached as well.
