Thanks guys.
Does anyone know how I can change the name to this thread? I’d like to change it to a gallery of models that I’ve done at work. Not sure what exactly to call it yet.
The plan is for this little fella is to give him fur. But my main goal was for a personal project but I’ve got to finish modelling his owner and his wheelchair… and the basement scene.
Something along the lines of this: http://mx.deviantart.com/art/Rubber-Johnny-WIP-143293240
But I want to make a new thread for this project when it’s nearly done.

This could be my last post on this thread. What with a new job looming in the distance. This job was for an American bank and was put together by myself and two others (while I was away on holiday). Each character was put together in 5 days.
Base mesh created in Maya and then Zbrushed.
Both created by myself
Wish we had more time to really nail down the characters.

Great stuff Matt!!
hey max, some great posts again. normally i would say spiderman is my favourite but in this case thor got me. 5 days is fast.
BY THE HAMMER OF THOR! those are cool models man
Thanks Sgrell and thanks to the other repliers.
Just a bit more detail. Fabrizio also worked on the materials and lighting. He had a hard time getting it finished within the extremely tight deadline.
The original view of the Hulk was meant to be in side profile so I exagerated the form down the centre of the chest so it was viewable from the side. Also, I overdid the veins and whatnot so they worked with the view… which was changed by the client after I had finished him.

I lied… this is the very last image for me (on this thread). My last day at this company. Hopefully someone can get a nice render of him.
Hope you like.

wow, Rooney is great. Very good likeness!
I can definately see the likeness, although I think the ears might need to stick out a bit more as in the reference pic I have attached:D. Do you have any plans for this piece? You could do Ricardo Carvalho as well and make a maquette of the world cup 2006 “incident”.
Nice sculpt, sorry about my attempts at humour.
Thanks guys. Glad you liked it and recognised who it was.
Loud_Noises, Ha! I wish I could of knocked the ugly into him but it’s for a possible print advert so it had to be… lovely and perfect and wonderful… but still look like Rooney. But for me, the job is over and done will. Dinosaurs awate.
And I’d like to take the time to plug a book. I picked up a copy of Zbrush, Digital Sculpting Human Anatomy by Scott Spencer and I must say that it is an awesome book. Even where I did certain thing instinctively, the book highlighted the important aspects that an artist needs to focus on to create a believable human character. Just wish I had read it before I did the Marvel job. Well worth picking up a copy.

… and here’s the final render done by Fabrizio.

Good luck hes an ugly git. BTW Chelsea fan here
I think he looks a little more like Shearer - no offence meant.
You should do his trollop of a wife too.
Amazing work! For the arrows did you model the string or is this just a texture?
Everything is high quality work, great job all around.
Thanks for the comments. To tell you the truth… I don’t fallow football at all. It was purely for work. I was just happy to get a chance to sculpt a realistic and recognisable person.
Aberrant, I’m not sure myself. I only worked on the head and some of the body on that image. If I remember correctly we had a 5 day deadline so the arrows were probably Photoshopped in.
