Jesse's Finished Models. Finally.

Hey everyone I’m starting a new thread where I’m going to be posting all my finished models, I’m working on. I’ll just keep updating this thread.

I have 2 models to show that may have been seen before, but now they are actually done.

I’m going to post the first model today. The second I will post in a couple days, as I put the final touches on it.

I like the texturing. Is this a render done in Zbrush or outside ?

wow what a render thats amazing the materials are great how u do it

Amazing texture work, well done :+1:

Hey all,
thanks for the compliments. The textures were all hand painted in Zbrush, and then refined in photoshop.

The renders you are looking at are infact Zbrush renders. The modeling was done in Maya. Fine detail sculpting is of course Zbrush.

Almost done with the other model. I should have him up sometime tomorrow.

Great colors and textures! :+1:

he seems to at ease with picking up the rock

heh, gj, it seems u have inspired from the modeling video that took top row some weeks ago… the colosus or something like that, anyway great texture

Your work is very stimulating, the model and the texture are cool:+1:
Andreseloy

Manslaughter - Yeah I knew someone would eventually mention that, ohh well. I could go back and give him an expression, but not at the moment.

Andreseloy - thank you I like your work too, as bizarre as it is. But hey It’s your style. Also Is your name Andre Seloy or Andres Eloy. Just wondering.

Metrodance - I am inspired by the giant colossus video, sure. However, I had been working on this for quite sometime before Z3, but yeah I can see how the stances are similar. Here is the original WIP: [color=orange]http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=43216

What’s up all. I just wanted to mention how much better my models look on my MacBook Pro. I’m sitting here at a coffee shop, and I must say the Apple screen looks so much better than my viewsonic on my PC. Why are Apple monitors generally sharper than open market PC monitors? Can anyone recommend a really sharp monitor for PC. I guess I could buy an apple monitor, but they are damn expensive.

When I get home I’ll upload and image of the other character. I finished him really late last night.

Ok here is my other model as promised. I’m going to darken the foot wraps more an roughen up the toe nails and skin. For the most part it is complete. I just hope I can make the changes before my edit button goes bye bye. If anyone is questioning his stance, he is in pre-battle mode saying “C’mon let’s go”

Take a trip to Best Buy and find a brand that looks good. The live side by side is great.

Ohh absolutely. And, i have done that, but none of the monitors were nearly as sharp and color vibrant as the apple monitors.

it is known that mac monitor generate better color. Where i took my class in 3d we use to go verify our stock on a mac screen to see if what we did look good. But im not really knowing much about monitor sorry.

Nice character you got there. I think his feet could do with a bit of work. Like display his weight more? Keep up the good work.

Thanks brett I’m workin on those feet.

You can get professional quality from many brands. For entry level something like a samsung 215tw if you can still get hold of one, or if your in the money go for an Eizo. Apple monitors out of the factory are no match for professional calibrated monitors. In fact most brands are just plain wrong on chroma calibration. I use pro sony HD X series monitors for color corretion on 4:4:4 HD and they need correction for every project, this is on account of lut table correction. So the message is, if you want correct values displayed, think of a monitor+color calibration hardware tool.

Nice looking sculpts.

I have two 24" Dell monitors and they give me great color. At work we use the Imac 24" in tandem with a Dell 24" next to it for a dual screen and they match perfectly.

Two dif monitors can have a close enough perceived match. From there you can always improve with calibration for print or light imaging. :+1:
