Well, I think I’m gonna buckle down and get the Apple monitor. I have no desire to professionally color calibrate before each project. I’m working on a demo reel, not print design.
Sure Apple monitors out of the factory are not as good as pro calibrated monitors, but what about a professionally calibrated Apple montitor, whoa… I just blew your mind.
All right now that the monitor thing is squared away, let’s get back on topic. How do you like my models?
Apple monitor with proper calibration, would be great. Hey, u can even get lucky and get one just picture perfect out of the factory. You never know. I read some nec and samsung models are just that dead on out of the assembly line. Thing is you could probably buy an monitor with an equal panel to the apple your thinking about and then buy the termocolorimeter gadget to calibrate it. More bang for the buck aint a bad idea. Double mind blowage back at ya!
The models look great. You got your own style going. Keep’em coming.
Yeah I knew people were going to mention that. I wasn’t tryiny to capture the attitude of the model that’s for the rigger and animator. I’m just showing the model and texture, but I wanted to get the character out of his T-pose. What’s wrong with the bend in the legs?
Great characters, i m really digging the rocks you have with the first one. Are they hand painted/sculpted or did you use any photos/procedurals on them?
I’m coming back to this model again. I’m tired of modeling environments so I need some organic relief. I’ve always seen this character as having promise to be really good. But, after seeing it so much I realize he needs more. So the question is what am I doing to make this better.
I’m adding armor. He’s too naked right now. The goal to make a sleek light armor. This character is a very quick warrior and needs to be very flexible and mobile, so I can’t put a huge heavy armor on him. So I modeled some armor in Maya and this is what I’ve come up with so far. I will be scyulting this in Zbrush this weekend.
So this weekend I detailed quite a bit on the armor. I’m still wrapping it up, before I start texturing. The shirt is going to be a thin but durable kevlar. I’ll probably be using a rubber-ish material for it Here is where I’m at so far.
