You have some amazing work here. I especially like the stonehands character – it’s not easy to do a character that has such soft features and such hard hands!
Here’s Josh Howard - not perfect but fun nonetheless…built in ZBrush, exported the displacement map, brought the low res mesh to 3ds max and rendered it with Vray. I then finished it off with a little bit of Photoshop work.
I gave up on the idea of using subsurface scattering cause I just haven’t had time to mess with Vray sss mats.
hey buddy, I like your work a lot.
great Josh, keep going man.

thanks Longhi! I appreciate that. Yeah, I’ve got more coming soon.
I’m still trying to fight my way up to averaging 4 stars at least. haha! Not sure why I’m getting average ratings, but I’m certainly glad my work is getting some exposure…
so, you’ve got 4 stars now
ahhhh…thanks Longhi. Silly star system. hehe…At least they round up!!
Hey Jesse…
Your works looking really good.Im liking your facial textures…your forms and anatomy are really good.I love most of ya works.keep it up:)…
Hey benwin21: Always nice to hear I’m inspiring someone! My initial models start from all sorts of methods. Sometimes, I use ZSpheres, others I recycle generic models that I’ve already created before that have the topology already worked out, sometimes I just start a new simple base mesh in max, etc. All depends on what I’m doing.
thank you very much

Hey everyone! I’m back with some new stuff finally. Here are some shots of what I created for a multiple artist tutorial created for 3dtotal’s online magazine, 3DCreative Mag. It should come out in February and I’ve got the process fully documented in videos which will come with the tutorial.
Here is my zbrush sculpt of their concept. I had a lot of fun with this one. Huge anatomy challenge for me too. Plus, I love giving my characters some attitude! Hope you enjoy!
