"Is this some kind of bust?" - my zbrush works

I love the set implementation and how it flows with the characters!

It provides something for the observer to really sink their teeth into.
Masterful Work :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Thanks for all the great comments everyone! :+1:

As I told you before I LOVE IT!!! and thank you very much for the breakdown, very useful. And congrats for the Top Row

Yes! thanks for sharing your workflow!

Superb…

Hi all, here’s a quick project I’ve just completed for the #drawDishonored competition. I couldn’t resist entering but I only had a small amount of time before the deadline so thought I’d challenge myself. I don’t normally put myself under pressure for my personal work so this was a really good exercise and test of what I’ve learnt. I’m not 100% happy with the end product but I really want to re-visit the sculpt at some point to print it. I’ve done a quick breakdown too if anyone’s interested.

Excelent!

The modelling/sculpting is good. Nice and clean.

The posing, on the other hand, is a bit stiff. It feels like it was posed in Poser. Be aware of how poses affect the anatomy and muscularture.

Nonetheless, well done.

@Regnas - Thank you :smiley:

@mix_mash - Thanks Paul, really appreciate the comment and I completely agree! I’ll be going back to the sculpt later to see if I can improve the pose, I had good fun with it, but I got beaten by the time restraint in the end I think. :smiley:

nice modeling, but the pose is too stiff, try to get more ref, how to pose a nice pose it will help a lot to present your artwork =D cheerss

Awesome Top row, James. Really nice work. Seem like groundhog day over here though with people repeating the same crit over and over. :roll_eyes:

Super cool! Love the sets with characters :+1:
Good lighting too!

@raychung94 - Thanks for the feedback! :wink:

@Polyjunky - Cheers Francis! :smiley:

@Takai - Thanks man, always appreciate your comments! :+1:

Here’s the 2nd version of my Emily Kaldwin sculpt along with some bust sketches of Preacher characters I’ve been doing recently.

I really love your renders. Thanks for showing your lighting set up. Can you tell me what material you use and the settings? I’d love to know. :smiley:

Hey Black-Tooth glad you like the renders! For materials I mostly use a plastic (transparent) material in Keyshot and play with the roughness setting until i get something I like so nothing special really. I think getting the lighting right is the key to a good ‘clay’ render in Keyshot.
