*** i like kid in video very cut:de:p

These new features are most excellent!
I would like to thank PixoLogic Creators for giving us these extended powers with the Zbrush 4.
note:

  1. Lifetime updates for licensed user is impressive.
  2. Something in the back of my mind says the always developing application must carry some cost.
  3. I would not mind paying a nominal annual fee of say $10.00 for these improvements!

My jaw hit the floor, What takes me forever to do with normal internet image searching and Photoshop now seems possible all in one app. I can’t wait to get my ZB4 upgrade!

yep thats awesome.
i wish zbrush would add the use of photoshop brushes and using layers
among other things that people normally ask like the voxel sculpting thing (dont mind that much)
but patience i suppose

i’m officially ready for a zbrush OS. haha.

I’m at a loss for words.

Time to make your app justice and stop messing around.

Really fantastic.

Countdown to Zbrush:

50 Days, 7 Hours, 11 Minutes, 10 Seconds, 13 Miliseconds

As we know, it is impossible to wait that long.

after this spectacular video…just three waiting point…mamma mia…

yeah. what he said

Dang, slow that video down, were there texture layers in there? That’s all I wanted, sheesh. That and specular, diffuse, normal map viewing on the model in the ZB viewport. Much more useful than this imo.

I was considering picking up mudbox because of the user friendly interface and its something I’m familar with because of Maya. But it looks like I’ll just have to learn some Zbrush instead, these features are just insane. You guys just monopolized the market good job.

… i just pooped myself

This really looks awesome! Altough… I REALLY hope they add “photoshop style” layers for textures. As it stands right now, I know a lot of people who simply cannot work with zbrush for texturing because of the lack of flexibility this create.

I simply do not understand why they have 3d layers (which are rather innovative and new) yet layers for textures that are already available in photoshop, bodypaint and mudbox are missing. Having to work seeing only the effect of 1 layer without any blending mode is rather limiting =/

I love Zbrush… and I love the community…sniff… snifff:cry: … i dont mean to start crying… I just love you guys… and gals… but mainly Zbrush.

hey cool stuff guys… congrats!
cant wait to get a hands on that!

That’s a rather useful feature. And it undoubtedly makes the workflow smoother (although the hyper-speed in all these videos helps a bit).
However I agree with other people in the forum who claim that:

  1. A rock-solid stable release of ZBrush should get higher priority: the bugs and limitations of the previous versions have been sometimes way too frustrating.

  2. Layers and Blending Modes (like in Photoshop) would have been more welcome than this fancy feature.

If these two requirements were ever fulfilled, I will have found the perfect software for expressing my creativity without the need to resort to other packages just to do small tasks that ZBrush can’t still do (properly).
Too many people (also in Pixologic) seem to forget that many folks would love to use Zbrush also for only 2D art.

wow!Zb4 has the functions of Photoshop!
