Have to remember not to rename Dropbox folders that contain public links X_X

Hi guys, I made my first insert mesh brush for a Cobra, as it will really help with a project i’m working on. It is a Tri Part mesh, I really want all the tri parts to be textured with scales, how would I go about making a texture that lines up on all parts and repeats depending on how long you draw the snake.Screen Shot 2015-06-19 at 2.12.58 PM.pngScreen Shot 2015-06-19 at 2.11.45 PM.png

Hey Blkgold Heres how I would do it. This version is SUPER basic but It would be really kool to do like different scales on the bottom, and actually model out the head and tail realistically.

Make a tiling Scales mesh

Bend it using the bend modifier

Make the ends

turn it into a tripart curve!

Thanks @bonebrew, you mentioned making a tile able pattern for the scales, I’m not sure which program you used to make those scales, it’s doesn’t look like zbrush, please advise.

Sorry, I jumped over to 3ds max for that part, I should have mentioned that.
Im sure you could do the same thing with Zmodeller though I dont know how.

I was directed by someone on YouTube to come here and see if there is any Action Figure IMM Brushes available that anyone made, specifically Swivel Hinge joints. If anyone can direct me it would be much appreciated as I am new here on the forums. These are the IMM Brushes I was looking for that are in this video. Thanks!

That would be none other than the Master Jedi Jus Reph Dest (aka Joseph Durst) lol

I think your link is down again, I tried to download your chain insert meshes but the link doesn’t work anymore

Many thanks for sharing!

Sorry for the noob question,im new in zbrush. My problem is, i have made a polymesh 3dsphere, so i using a insert cylinder and insert sphere to create my base. All the modelling is in one subtool layer. To select one of them, im using transpose and hold ctrl + click…How to multiple select or short cut key for it.Do you know. Please help

This looks like a great brush. I haven’t been able to get anything but the letter Z. I tried looking up a tutorial for this type of brush, no dice. Could you direct me in the right way to get the other letters? Thank you very much.

When an IMM brush is active, press ‘M’ on your keyboard for a pop-up selection menu.
