Wow! You are really getting good at these displacements … If any crits, perhaps a Change of scale in the flying object. It seems to be sitting right on top of the “city”. Otherwise it’s awesome!

Cheers, David

You’re right,:+1:
only a test:roll_eyes:
not rendering:cry:
and had memory problems:angry:
thank you very much for the advice:D

a little crazy
I think all of us like the zbrush, we’re a little crazy

“merci mon ami”

Very interesting.
I wonder how many poly there.
Yeah, applying displacements on very dense meshes, out of memory. ZB is still a 32 bit app you see.

IMO, displacements should applied once. If a second pass, the base mesh has been displaced already, so distortion comes.
But, you can apply as bumps. (another map or the same as Hrepeat Vrepeat)
un ordenador muy viejo?
I see, well, this is why I posted bumps and AO maps. You don’t need so many subdivisions. Though I have a powerful computer, I seldom use too many millions of poly. Most details come from bumps+AO maps.

Hi I love your displacement work. Hope to learn some from you

:confused:that are AO maps. ? … ALPHAS?

learn from each other, is very important,
thanks for comments
Any question i am here:+1:

displacements test maps

I love, especially the penultimate picture.
I wonder what kind of displacement you use? .

:+1::wink:

other evidence of displacement maps

is very easy
displacement maps, (complex)
in vmap
VREPEAT-HREPEAT,
many times 40 or more
after zomm in the zone;)

Thanks Mealea
FOG was
fog.jpg

Oh thats good!

There is a way of doing this with the BPR Filters as well, I made a tutorial once about doing it for Depth Cue but I have no idea where it is.
Anyhow the Depth Cue thing works the same for fog only instead of using blur you use color…
I should find that…
hmmmm
I think it had a video…

Nice!
There is always an advanced option, to export the depth render pass. Combine them in Pshop or Gimp or Photoline. This way you can mix real clouds, photos, overpaint it, etc etc .

I have been fortunate to find a video about “fog” in Spanish

a simple cylinder, displacement maps with repetitions, and fog
in just 10 minutes
was only a test:D:+1:

May I ask?
Why this last render (with fog) is not initialized ? It is a BPR, right?
