I tried to make a realistic hand as a technical exercise. I sculpted microdetails using custom alphas and a lot of tweaking with standard brushes. I sculpted several fundamental poses using layers… they still need some work.
It’s kind of stunning how complex real hands are, it’s humbling to realise just how far I am from being capable of capturing the kind of complexity I see in the real thing.
