Alrighty. Here’s another update. At least I could use my texture from my old model with some tweaking.
Cheers

Alex Oliver
awesome model, really good work.
I love this character
Wow… Really Kick Ass Work Here!!!
Ook so here’s an update on my dad. Its all poly painted. I can’t take a turn around of him . So I have to model by eye. I hope you like this.
Any help to get this better is appreciated. Please be gentle though. This piece means a lot to me.
Cheers

Edit: hmmm…lookin at it now I think the top of his head is to high.
I think is a very good model… did you render it in Maya?
One thing Brett, I recommend you to use a little bit of specular on the eyes. Just for diversify the eyes material by the the skin. I tell you an obvius thing but in my opinion would improve your already good portrait.
Cheers!
P.S.
I agree with you about the top of the head…
Nice model
I think your father would be very proud!
FelixCat
LOVE the grangle - really nice clean style - great colourizing too love the subtle aquatic motifs on the face and head - top shelf stuff IMHO
Really great image of your dad too - I agree with the specular idea for the eyes. should make these the sharpest/brightest part of the image so as to draw the eye to them.
ace stuff Brett
I am so happy you updated the sea monster he looks so awesome.
I love your tribute to your dad. He looked like a very nice man and the model you made of him made with love. I can think of no other that can give more heart and soul to their models than you, in your heart he lives. Keep on with your art, it heals. I hope everything gets better for you and wish you the very best life has to offer.
Thanks so much everyone for the kind words. I’ll keep working on him.
Still got to put hair on his head too.
piz: Ye its a maya mental ray render. I’ll brighten the eye highlights up. Thanks Ye his head is way to high I think.
FelixCat: Thank you!. I really hope he is.
Steve-T: Thanks man Glad you like what I did to him.
Seavannah: You always say sweet things. Thank you! Glad you like the new grangle. The old one I felt had no character. Its funny to look at the them together. I get to see how far I’ve progressed. I’m happy that you can see my dad was a nice man. He was very loving and had a big heart.
Thanks again guys.
Brett, the bust of your father is looking great, some times we forget that the best of our parents is in us, even if we cant see it ourselves. He seems like a lovable guy. if you need reference to complete the portrait just look in the mirror he’s there too. take care.
Hey threetails. Thanks for the kind words my friend. Its a difficult sculpt to do. But trying my best.
Here’s a small update on the simian. Just to break away from the my dads sculpt a bit. Hope you like. Crits welcomed.
Thanks for looking
Brett Patrick Sinclair
Very well done Master brettSinclair!
beautiful work
this is looking great! are you interested in an animation job?
The simian is coming along so well I just can’t wait to see him finished. Love the sword it looks as if the sword has it’s own story on how he obtained it. I like that he is skilled in many weapons. He kind of reminds me of a Luis Royo pic I have seen somewhere but yours is more life like. He is really a cool model.
Hey guys. Thanks for the comments!
Here’s a doodle monster. Not really sure where its going. Just something to do I guess.
Thanks again!
Brett Patrick Sinclair
Very good Brett!
Hey Brett you got realy nice start on this last model. I,ve been foollowing this thread for a while now and you have great work here.
To tell you the truth I like Simian a lot but I think he looks better at the start the one on page 8 of this thread. Has more character…but you probably know better where you are going with this.
Also good take on Silver Surfer But overall so many great characters you have here and just a thought maybe you should start a new thread so its easier for people to scroll through and see your wonderfull work.
Hey guys. Here’s an old model revisited in zbrush. Its one of the 1st monsters I ever did. He was a good learning curve. Hope you like him.
Kosova: Thanks for the crit. I think when I 1st started simian he was to slender. I beefed him up to be more ape like. I also shortened his legs for that same reason. As for the new thread I agree with you. I think I’ll start it off next year though. As its nearly the end anyway.
Thanks piz
Its really busy at work so updates are slow at the moment. I hear the whip right now. hehe.
Cheers
