Can you check the manual install steps? see if all the files are installed correctly?
Check also page 73 of the what’s new guide as you have extra installations steps for C4D.

I am really sorry Totyo, I was on fire these last days, I didn’t find the time to reply. Thomas Roussel answered me by email, and he told me how to do step by step, now it works perfectly.
Thank you so much for you help.

Thanks for the reply Totyo.
Yes Ive installed it manually using the Manual installation guide. At first GoZ Didn’t worked.now its working only with the obj meshes and with Ztl files. And not with C4D meshes. In some cases its not importing/exporting anything.
*For “FromZbrushtoC4D” test ive used the Default Dog model given in Zbrush. Ive created a Color map using polypaint, then i created the normal and disp maps. Finally i saved it as Zbrush doc and as Ztl file format. After i clicked GoZ button everything was Exported Properly with appropriate texture maps. .
*And For “FromC4DtoZbrush” test ive used a C4D model, then i made the same things wat ive did with the doggy.then i ve clicked the GoZ in C4D.i didn’t exported anything.
*Then ive Imported the same mesh in OBJ format in Zbrush.created a Normal and a Disp map, then Clicked GoZ now everything exported well with the tex maps.
I couldn’t maintain the size of the model in C4D as i am dragging to draw the OBJ mesh in Zbrush.
Sorry for my poor english.
Page 73?? wer it is?
miloustrator: glad it works (I’m Thomas)
Anand: check in the ZBrush 4 “Documentation” folder, you have a “What’s New page” and take a look at page 73
Oh! Everything is clear now, thank you Thomas, merci beaucoup.

Hello fellow z-brushers,
Im quite new to using Z-Brush (having bought version 4 recently), but liking it a lot so far. I have run into a litte problem with the “new” feature GoZ though.
I would like to use Z-Brush in combination with 3dsmax, but Im experiencing a problem with GoZ and 3dsmax. When I export a model with UV’s laid out and a texture map in place using GoZ my model shows up in 3dsmax with a new material (combination of Directx shader and standard shader), but my texture map (or any other map like displace or normal) does not show up. When I check the data files a .obj file and .xmax file are created in the cache folder but there isn’t a .mtl file, which in my knowledge should contain the material/map data.
When I manually export the same model there is a .mtl file (but no .xmax). But then I would have to manually setup the shader with the correct settings for the displace and normalmap. And I would really like to have those features using GoZ. Another thing I noticed is that when manually exporting the model the texture map is saved as a BMP file, and when using GoZ a TIFF file is created for the maps.
When I use GoZ with Maya 2011 everything works correctly, but I’m not really familiar yet with Maya and I’d like to use 3dsMax with GoZ to get things done fast.
I tried 32bit and 64bit versions of 3dsmax but I get the same result with both.
Can anyone help me on this one? When more info is needed to be of any help I’d be happy to reply.
P.S. Sorry for any typo’s or incorrect sentences but English is not my native language.

Hello!
I have a GoZ-question here: is it possible to change the default directory of GoZ in ZB4? At the time, it saves the temp-files under SYSTEM/User/Shared/Pixologic/GoZProjects/Default/
I use a SSD-Hardrive in a MAC and don’t want any temporary Files on it… just programs keep that SSD clean! For that I want to know if there is a possibility to tell “ZBrush” or “GoZ” where to save the files?!
thx…
When I go from C4D12 to Zbrush4 via GoZ with 3 objects, I get something strange. I basically have a man object, left eye, and right eye. When I select all three and push GoZ it says that the name is already there and is renaming it to “BlakeGriffin_07” which was the name of the objects before I renamed them. Then it just delivers one of the eyes over to Zbrush.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

After switching to a 64 bit Win Vista machine at work, I too have started to have the same error occur. What advice can you give me and do you wish me to send a ticket regarding this?
Thank you for your help,

Hi,
i am having the same problem as mentioned above. please help.
thanks
When Maya is launching multiple instances and/or having a communication between any application with ZBrush in one direction, it’s mainly because of an installation issue or a file/folder permission issue.
I invite you checking the manual installation PDF which is attach to this thread’s first post
so can you change the default goz projects folder path? i really dont like it in its default area
How about the 64 Bit Photoshop Version… Doesn´t seem to work for me…

Hi,
We have just release an update for GoZ, which include several fixes, but also add the support for new release of the supported applications (modo 501, Cinema4D R12, 3DSMax 2012 and Maya 2012), but also the support of Photoshop CS4 Extended and Photoshop CS5 Extended.
Please, use this thread for discussing of your potential issues, but first, please install the last release of GoZ.
The first post of this thread will be updated with FAQ and global information.

spybg: you had to do a manual install? if not, just do a standard install (copy past of the PDF):
Open the folder containing the unzipped GoZ upgrade. Copy the included ‘‘Pixologic’’ folder and its contents to your C:\Users\Public\ folder. (It is important to replace the original Pixologic folder rather than simply copy over it.)
Now browse to the C:\Program files (x86)\Pixologic\ZData\ZPlugs folder (or where you installed ZBrush to if you did not use the default installation settings). Overwrite the GoZ.zsc and the GoZDLL.dll files with the versions located in the downloaded ZBrush 4\ZData\ZPlugs folder. IMPORTANT: Never modify the contents of the ZData folder unless (like now) you have been specifically instructed to by Pixologic.
Browse to C:\Program files (x86)\Pixologic\ZBrush 4\ZStartup\ExportTamplates (or wherever you have installed ZBrush to) and overwrite the GoZ Binary For Cinema4D.GoZ and the GoZ Binary NoFlags.GoZ with the ones located in the downloaded ZBrush 4\ZStartup\ExportTamplates folder.
Launch ZBrush.
Go to the Preferences palette >> GoZ and click on the Update all Paths button to search for target applications. For each target application found, install the needed components.
When prompted, accept the Windows administrator authorization or enter your administrator login and password, even if you are currently logged in under an administrator account.
When the search and installation are done, GoZ will be ready for use.
The manual install instructions are only provided in case of automatic install had fail.
