Gore Withdrawals thread

The title speaks for itself. I was having withdrawals…(have been working on too many happy and none scary images  )and also wanted to make a new pair of dentures for my models so this is the result. I also hadn’t done anything gory in a bit…so this will be my new gore vault.

Enjoy.

ps. The head model itself is one of my old models…but the treatment to the skin was the effect I was playing with…along with the teeth of course.

Sheriff Hoyt for President;)

how did you get that pieced together look? Different materials or is that part of the geometry.

Heyas Bill. Thnx for the interest:D I used a mat called plastestine and rendered and baked that head ,then went baked with the same mat and repainted the mat onto the baked head layer…(that is the darker skin parts)…gave a kind akewl effect I thought. thanks again and hope you liked it…

Day by day you are becoming more creepy. Don’t stop!
Lemo :+1: :+1: :+1:

I like the shape of the robe over the head. I think it would look cool if it were chainmail, and then a meaner look on his face, and then…

It’s amazing how many ideas I can come up with when I wouldn’t be the one actually doing the work.

For you, Bill  A bit of a scowl and a chain mail material…and a little Liquify to achieve the scowl…

Lemo, in my small world, creepy is good…as much as I try to shake it, the creepiness won’t disappear. My parents always said it was a phase, until I got my first apartment…I hung a 7 foot tall grim reaper costume I assembled with a wire frame in my living room window year around…not to mention I came across a casket and well it became bedroom furniture…lol…more of a hope chest…and all the apartment neighbors peaked thru their drapes and cracked doors as my girlfriend and I toted it in…lol…that ws the best part…o those were the years…I degress…

thnx for the words of humor, wisdom and always encouragement.

Yeah :+1: you have something good going on with the face there. You really do. Maybe darken up that metal just a touch?

Also where are the strung up victims? :sunglasses:

lol Bill…well most of the victims are in my closet.(well actually in my basement…the kids were complaining of the odor…so I moved them and took a shower  )…muahahaha…well how about one victim hanging on some chain I was working on recently…ie last night…darkened up the cloak abit with some brown paint…and then the rest…put the blue background on…not a cheery image, but fun nonetheless…
thnx Bill.

Now that’s the stuff.

Good mood
I wish I could do pictures like these. I have no idea how to make textures look cool
Was cloth thing also created in zbrush? is it from plane3d?

thnx you two:+1:

You will love this…simplistic…

  1. the hood is a deformed 3d sphere
  2. the shoulder cloaked area is the same tool, resized and slightly squooooshed,
  3. the chin wrap/scarf area is a 3d plane.
  4. the texture is all in the material…I only painted color onto it. I used the drag stroke, Material with zsub , and a cloth alpha to make it a bit more jagged on the forehead area.
  5. 10 layers…(unfortunately I used the default canvas size rather than doubling the size.

The funny this about this one is that it started out to be a nun…lol…then I decided I didn’t like the female head I had chosen from my .ztls to use and went with one of my more inhumanish heads instead.

And yes, this is total zbrush. Other than the sig and jpg conversion and the liquify to change the expression on the reaper’s face, which ps was used.

More questions? Ask away and I will try to answer to the best of my ability.

GL, you don’t realize what a majorly huge compliment that was you gave me. Made my day, truly.

I hope everyone that viewed this one enjoyed it.

thnx again for you kind comments, suggestions input etc…mucho appreciated.

ps. Also was looking up zombie materials this evening on google…and came across a kewl fact…they made a Night of the Living Dead in 3d …apparently was released in September…starred Sid Haig…just fyi.

You have certainly gotten your Zbrush wheels geared up again. I tried some stuff last night and it was extremely painful. Looked pretty bad. Nice to see your zombies and ghoulish creations again.

P.S. I was wondering if you had seen that movie. I saw a couple of previews for it, the coloring seemed off, but that could have just been the 3D effect.

Ron they coming out good…

Give them more time you can make them look better

More bad guys

Are you about my website? Thanks, if you are. Wasn’t sure since I’m Tomas without ‘h’ (though pronounced the same), and about website - I just put my face all over the place narcissistic huh always advertising myself

Heyas Tomas…sorry about the misspelling…yer very photogenic…made ya look famous

I did a somewhat similar pic a long time ago…and one of my closest friends has it hanging on his wall lol…lost the original file so he has the only one…so his brother wanted a copy when he came to visit…I somewhat replicated it…and that brother is going in for heart surgery this coming week. So I am workign on this piece to print out and send with my friend to give his brother…they love the wild and absurd…lol…(and apparently the crappy, if they like my stuff… ) but anyways…I give you Stoned Souls…might do some other variations on this before I am completely happy
