I began using GoB/GoZ when ZB 4.5 was released and I had no problem at all with the two programs communicating with one another. It worked great.
However, with the installation of ZB 4.6, I can send items from ZB to Blender, however I can’t send from Blender to ZB. Further, when I send something containing a sub-tool, from ZB to Blender, the sub-tool is lost in transfer.
Anyone know if GoB works fine between Blender 2.70 and Zbrush 4R6?
I’m still running 4R4 and won’t risk upgrading to 4R6 yet if GoB isn’t working properly…
You should update…you can always use the older version of Z if it doesn’t work.
Sounds great! So there is no problem going back to my previous version then? This may be a stupid question (I’v never upgraded ZB before) but does this mean that when I upgrade to version 4r6, then 4r4 will remain installed and functional on my computer or will I have to uninstall 4R6 and then reinstall 4R4 again?
Should be able to launch the older one just fine. ZPlugin:AutoUpdate
Thanks! I’ll be upgrading to 4r6 then
I haven’t updated to Blender 2.7 yet but I’ve been running GoZ between 2.69 and Z4R6P2 without any problems.
Nope… continuing to don’t work for me. Even in previous blender/zbrush release every time I import a mesh in to zbrush to blennder or viceversa the piece is in the wrong position. Unfotunately for me is useless (or very limited). Hoverer thanks for developing it, hope someone a day will fix it.
I just installed Blender 2.70a on my Mac and GoB works just fine for me.
Does anyone have any work GOB in 2.70a and ZB4R6 P2? I have here is a error.
I’ve downloaded Blender 2.70a but haven’t installed it with GoZ yet. I’ll give it a try this next week and post back here.
I’m running on Mac OSX 10.8.5 so that may or may not matter to you.
I’ve downloaded it but i found only a file, not the blender and zbrush’s folder
Hello there,
I’m really busy, but I will try to post a new package including documentation and script.
I was working on a version including some preferences to check/uncheck some features. I cannot find a good way to do this easily (like popup panel)…
I’ll post an intermediate version.
I begged for help from someone and they replied(thanks )
condensed instructions.
Launch Blender and go into preferences, addons>> at bottom is load from file. Load and enable.
I’ll post an intermediate version.
It would be very good. Thank you.
Hi,
- I upgraded to ZBrush4R6,
- downloaded the latest GoB 2.65 Win,
- installed the GoB 2.65 addon in Blender 2.70a, 2.68a, & 2.65
- copied the Blender folder to C:\Users\Public\Pixologic\GoZApps\
The GoB icon shows up in Blender. When I select the mesh, hit the icon, ZBrush crashes
(Blender 2.70a, 2.68a, 2.65)…(?)
Should the addon work with Blender 2.70a?
What is the best Blender version for GoB 2.65?
Thanks!
Hi wanted this a long time back, never got it.
Now I was looking for Goz to work with blender 2.7 and came upon this thread.
So does this version works with blender 2.7?
Stunton an intermediate version will also work man. Any thing which goes with the latest version. Please update soon.
Can please update the link in first page and on blenderwiki? there is only GOB not GOZ.
I install the last version, on last ZBrush and last version of Blender (at today) the script doesn’t work, give some errors in importing.
Can update it to version 2.7 and ZBrush 4R6?
very thank you
Mine is not working, I tried reinstalling goz also but it is still detecting only maya which is installed in my computers as a student version and not the blender file setup in 3d max folder.
I had the same problem as some other people in this thread just a few moments ago (everything working up until clicking the ZBrush icon in Blender and then ZBrush crashing as soon as it opens it).
So I looked into the readme file and checked if I did everything correctly, and I did, but I then noticed the last part of it (III) and figured I might as well try pressing the R button on the Tool panel just to make sure.
I saw the R button was greyed out so I just drew in a new tool and then pressed the R button. Then I proceeded to close ZBrush and open Blender (along with the model I wanted to export to ZBrush), clicked on the ZBrush icon in Blender and lo and behold the model was exported successfully without any problems of any sorts.
I have no idea what causes this problem, but I hope this helps anyone else who is experiencing this.
