What software did you use to generate your normal, ao and cavity maps. They look soo god damn crisp.

We use Max to generate the normal maps in the scanline renderer. The supersampling feature smooths things out well too. The AO is made in Mental Ray (Xnormal at times as well), with a spread of 1.5-6, with the darkest going to a medium grey usually.

How do you guys make the threads in the high poly models? They look like seperate subtools or objects to the main character assets. They are very nice and evenly spaces.
It would also be really cool to see some more Zbrush tips or tricks you guys use when detailing your high poly models. The high poly models are just amazing.

So is this by far the great thread ever created on Zbrush Central? This is just down right disgusting how much Epic is putting up. Thank you soooooo much, everyone at Epic for not only creating this work but actually allowing you to post a good portion of your process on a public forum. I was wondering what size texture(s) you guys use for these characters? I would seem a shame that, with all of the modelās details, that they only get one 2048 texture in each channel in the end. I kinda suspect that that is the case though.
