Garden of Eden -WIP (Nudity)

Hello! Just wanted to share a project I am working on in my copious spare time. Here is the first character sculpt. Still a WIP. Comments are welcome and criticism appreciated.

Wow, nice! What strikes me is that the head looks from the frontal very feminine, from the side very masculine. Wonderful modeling!
LemonNado

Great stuff!

I love the way the hair flows around the neck.

From the front she’s got a little Ulma Thurman going.

Good work as usual

Very nice sculpture :+1:
Did u use a reference for that by the way?

Again, awesome!

I can tell a mile off that girl has had breast implants, there not droopy enough;)
What a great model coming from such a basic mesh, the beauty of z brush:+1: A ZSC. would be nice. Excellent job mate:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

Nice work Ryan!

I am surprised that you found time to do this, with all of that spare time that you are famous for. Getting 2.5 out the door, new Loft, beginning your Gnomon classes in a couple of weeks…

Nice work Ryan, always spare time for this subject matter.

Yes, boobs look fake.
Smooth out the top part of them so they’re a bit more saggy/bottom heavy or perhaps just move them around a bit in the low poly mesh. And maybe have them blend into the side under her arms a bit better.

If you need reference pics of naked women feel free to contact me, I have a collection several thousand strong and growing. :+1:

I do some mighty fine referencing from those. Surprizing how many times a day one would need to remind himself what boobs look like.

looks nice Ryan,

the grooves in the pelvic region seem a little too sharp for me, and I’d soften out the collar bone and neck, they seem a little too sharp + strained. The forearms feel a bit thick, esp. approaching the wrist, and they seem a little lumpy. The knees are a bit too defined imo. Like one of the posters above me said, the profile is very masculine.

really nice work,

-K.

Great model. Think the “sagness” of the butt is a bit weird in comparison to the the breats…dunno…coulb be she sits in a weird chair a lot. Please keep posting the progress, it’s very hard to see “realistical” bodys in here.

If you made this model from the Zsphere -set i’m mightilly impressed …must have been a lot of tweaking to get to this end result

Hi Ryan,

Great to see you posting some of your own work. :+1: This is impressive - look’s like a good start to me. I’ll look forward to seeing Adam and the Serpent.

Cheers,

Whoa! Go to lunch and come back to all these kinds words and good advice!

Lemonnado - Good catch on the face. This thing has been remodeled 3 times. The mouth seems to suggest a fuller face but the chin is definetly sharp and her jaw is too muscular. I think adding volume and softening everything should do the trick.

Wordsmith - Thanks for the kind words. I agree Uma started to come to mind more often near the end.

weyvin- sporatic reference but definetly referenced.

honiley and placid - I live in LA and I must say I have no problem with fake breasts! Will definitely be reworking them so let me know what you think as she progresses.

Meats Meier- Thanks man! Appreciate the kind words. Can’t wait for the classes. An ol’ wind bag like me just gets to keep on talking!

kolbyjukes - thanks for the insights. Will definetly be checking them.

jantim - I like to think of ZSpheres as a mesh generation tool. I never care what it looks like so long as it has the edge loops and limbs that I need. It takes me less than 5 minutes to get the forms roughed out from that really rough ZSphere start. That is much faster than I could do if I started from scratch in a vertex modeler such as Maya.

Marcus- Let me take this moment to thank you! This was my first experience with you Reference Image ZScript! Really did a great job there. Your work has really taken ZScripting to that next level!

Will take a look for any recordings I may have done and post as I have time. Now I must get back to work since I can’t hide this post from my employer!

Ryan

Hey Ryan!

Yup, nice to see you posting… Almost such nice works… I love it!

this is awsome stuff! I love how you’ve actually sculpted hair, it makes it so much more classical. I’d love to see the context that these figures are going to be in. How are you going to pose them? Are they still zsphere models?

pestopants.

Very kewl model…and I am glad to see she is not a barbie doll…imperfections is what makes a model appear more realistic to me…lop sided breasts, dimpley fat sagging booties, etc…I doubt the true Eve was a white girl either…probably had a middle eastern look or Medditeraean(sp) looking I would guess…but who knows…lot of conjecture there…we don’t know how long Eve was in the garden…so I guess sitting around, having sex and eating probably made her a bit on the Rubinesque side…she was a kept woman until she got on that South Beach Forbidden Fruit diet…and then had to start working for a living and probably she those nasty pounds…she and Adam might have been very pink skinned at first, till they left into the cruel real world and they then would have started to become sunburned and severely weathered…alot to consider I guess when thinking about the nuances that would have taken place between Paradise and the Great Eviction…but Ryan your model is looking very fine…:+1: :sunglasses: :+1:

very nice modelling !

keep it up :sunglasses: :+1:

she is beautiful so far…and wish i had boobs like that

More!!!

Impressive modelling allround, a few suggestions for the head :

  • Just because it makes her look weak and weary the slant of the brows should be in the opposite direction.

  • Check proportions of mouth, seems alittle small to me.

  • General rounding of the face by decreasing hard edges and creases, perhaps also by reducing the length of the face and growing the orbitals, here is an example :

As far as references go my first impression was that your model looked like Uma Therman , perhaps looking at the way nature did it will help to further get my points of critique across.

  • General shape of the lips is not very femanine, refer to image above for suggestions.

  • And something about the angle of the nose is bothering me - its conection to the cranium should be lowerer to create a greater angle.

Ofcourse, if you were aiming for imperfections don’t bother with my comments.

Kircho

PS - After checking your website its seems this might be some type of emotional attachment? - that is, most of your attempts at female characters’ faces are tending more towards masculinity.
