fun with zbrush

the game is finished, if you want try out here is pc and mac version, and here is a linux version. please note, this is a puzzle game, with no monsters and no shooting stuff. it is more the relaxing sort of game… if that’s what you like, i invite you to have a try. its a big download, around 120 mb…

Your thread is magical!
You are also working, without a break.
In your work I like, above all, the focus on the essentials.
The skater boy is superb!

I’m not a big “gamer”, but the game do I download currently. I’m curious!

Ciao,
TM

thank you tm. the more i hope you enjoy the game … yes, i work a lot, but it never feels like work. i just love it  … oh, glad you like the skaterboard boy. i really liked him myself, but this sculpt was not a popular one …lol… yes, my focus is on simple forms, to express in my sculpt what i want “say”. detail is most of the time not necessary, or rather i think this way i mean, more i believe that too much detail clutters a sculpt, and takes away from it instead of enhancing. but, i know this is not the popular opinion…
anyway, my new speedy sculpt does exactely same, hardly detail, many forms only rough, but, hopefully, precise… portrait of jerome, less than 2 mill polygons for all sculpt…

more portrait work. this time jack, rendered as marble bust with cycles.

Hello Doris! Your game is very beautiful!

Salutations Kokoro,
Catching up with your latest posts has been a pleasure.
Particularly fond of the the latest impressionistic sculpt of Jack.

hi tm, thank you for trying out my little game. i am glad you liked it. i had tons of fun in creating it  … and thank you for nice words on my sculptural work, it means a lot for me.

boozie, thank you for visiting my thread again. so glad you like my portrait of jack, as i was trying to push into a little different direction

this sculpt (which is still wip) was inspired by a drawing i saw on a blog, and s i jumped in and sculpted away. 4.5 hours work in it, so far… i hope you like

Haha, what a face! I can imagine the character of the lady well.
And in such short time? Wonderful!
Lovely details. Awesome!

Ciao,
TM

Hey doris, been ages since last time I checked your thread.Impressive looking work as always.Love it.

A fab beginning in such time.
Here’s to jumping in.

tm thank you! yes, i think i got the face well  … the sculpt is still pretty “sloppy”. more a blocking out than a refined sculpt, hence this time was enough…

diablo, wellcome back to my thread. i am glad you like what you find now

boozie, thank you! now it will follow, slowly, the cleaning up of the meshes. i hope i can keep the spirit of the piece. to me this is always hard. the blockout sculpts often have more “live”…

i am working on my second game for a while and thought it’s time to share some of the game models i sculpted and textured in zbrush.
the main character is freddie, and will be controled by the player. here is the original zbrush sculpt:
freddie_02.jpg

and here how he looks in unity
freddie_07.jpg

i made already four enemies:
freddie_09.jpg freddie_12.jpg freddie_18.jpg freddie_22.jpg

all are shown as screenshots from within zbrush, the lastone also as screenshot from within unity. all characters are already animated in blender and integrated well into my game
i hope you enjoy my explorations into world of games with help of zbrush.

Hello Doris!
This is done so loving! The enemies … so angry and still childlike. Awesome!
You’re so creative and it does not look so … arbitrary …

Ciao,
TM

Doris, it’s just a great portrait!
Superbly caught character and mood.
