Full body Zsphere fig WIP (tips and advise needed)

I wanted to make something humanoid but with exadurated features like a goblin or troll because perfect humans are hard and I’m not quite there yet.
Anyway I was just wondering what advise (both obvious and non) you could give me as far as modeling is concerned.
I havn’t started playing with the preview mesh yet, want to make sure the spheres are all right first. (proper joints and whatnot)

I’m having troubles with these things as well as others:

  • ears
  • clothing
  • fingers (especially nails)
  • mouth (one that can open and close)

Hey thanx man, that thread should keep me busy for awile, you really know what you’r doing when it comes to Zspheres.
I encourage anyone else who sees this to take a look, allot of talent and innovation in there.

Still trying to get a good basic shape with magnet spheres while keeping in mind this obect is meant to be fully posable.

Good start, but a lot of what you are doing can be replaced with the xyzscript from tveyes and you won’t have the problems that occur when you start bending it with magnetic zspheres at joints. :wink:

Yeah I use the XYZadjust script for fingers and toes but I can’t figure out how people do some of the things they do just by changing the resolution and curvature.
I’ll play arround with XYZadjust some more, I find that’s the best way to understand anything in this program.

Download that latest character in my thread, and in Zsphere mode, use the xyz script to view the settings of various key zspheres and even change them if you like… It’s not cheating, honest!! :wink:
