so powerfull
So far so good, this is going to be great I can tell. No crits, just looking forward to seeing more!
This is looking so cool…can’t wait to see it finished…concept to execution, all great. Love the pose and design of the G-Force looking dude and the Dyno-mutt looking dog is killer!!! great sketches, too!
you know, the moment i saw the picture posted of your wip, i knew instantly it was cachren, very good job, then i see your reference and i’m like yeahhh pearfect!!! … i was like that looks like “cashren” then i’m like woahhhh, good job man!!!
I was just wondering if your workflow is based on ignoring topology and just sculpting and then using the retopology feature after the fact. It seems that would be logical and a give anyone a little more freedom. Of course, thats not how I work as I haven’t tried to retopo anything, I am still learning.
Keep going your work is very appealing and will bear fruit for you in the future.
Thank you all guys!
@99530869: thanks!
@kilik128: Yeah
@Aberrant: thanks a lot! i hope not to ruin it
@jmenna: i’m glad that you liked the sketch too, Friender thanks and wags
@kingofheart: yeahh! I like casshern too, since i was a kid, i’m glad i caught a little of his soul in this sculpt!
@Medicinehorse7: Thanks, i use to sculpt without a care to topology, you can always make a good retopo when necessary, as you said. In this case i obtained a nice topology from the Zspere skeleton, and modified the unecessary edges in XSI (expecially in the hands there was too many edges) :
… maybe i will do a fast retopo around the eyes but i don’t think it will be necessary… manga faces are usually smoothed and not so detailed.
The robot topology is from Zspheres too, and i used the “mask by polygroup” new feature to simply push and pull masses…really fast and hard edge - looking.
Now i’m working to organize the robot parts in different subtools, so i can pose them and add details where the damage will be really hard…
Cu soon guys thanks again for your kind words !
great zsketching!!
Thank you OBBI !!!
Finally i found the time to go ahead , so here is another pic
It’s time to deal with Friender…retopology and posing for the scene
See you soon!

cant wait to see this one finished…
gogogo
Nice Work…
Tanks Pedro!
So i finished almost all the model and the scene! I hope you like it:
All images are Zbrush renders, with no post processing. I used only polipaint to create the textures, and Zapplink to project some details like decals. I will post details and workflow soon, i’d like to hear some Crits 'cause the Contest on zbrushcentral.it is almost finished and i need your help!
I link some turntables here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTmv3G4aCNk
I used the “Sketchsunup” material for all, then i create 3 different versions of it. I painted the material directly to the mesh to obtain strong specular effects to the scratches, screws and the “blood” over Chassern hands.
One of the goals for this contest is to use only Zbrush for modeling, texturing and final renders, and i think i reached the limit for my PC
Cu soon for more ups!

Awesome!
Impressive work here.
Just went through it from page 1.
My only comment about this last post is that the close up look better than the overall.
It feels to me like the big guy is missing something.
At first I could not make him out. Maybe the small head?
Hi Fracture…
I had the same feeling that RamRam said above…At first sight, I kept looking for the big guys head laying on the ground…Right now, his head resembles a severed neck too much…which is a visual fact that could be used to your advantage, if you also put a severed head falling backwards on it’s way to the ground hanging and dangling from the thread that the dog is biting…An action that might really add and enhance the sense of motion and the finality of the action that is taking place… Just a passing thought that may or may not be useful to you,…but one I thought worth mentioning…
I really like the movement created and the actions energy of the the small figure that’s doing the disemboweling of the big guy…Great job…
Hi all!
This is my render of the scene using only ZBrush for color corrections-2.5D adds, depth cue, and so on… Very powerful tools i think Zbrush could be a standalone 3D and 2D software soon if only the layers could use blending modes just like Photoshop. Anyway ZB remains the best, and i will love it forever
@Spiritdreamer: thank you very much for your suggestions, always appreciated. I turned a little the robot head to make it visible, and added glowing effects material on the eyes, i hope i fixed the problem in this render!
Cu soon for other pics!
