First (serious) work! (nudity!)

Hi to all,

This is my first post: Pretty new to Zbrush, after some experimenting, I started my first serious sculpting attempt: trying to modify the default SuperAverageMan in a SuperNotSoAverageWoman!!

Please, I really apologize for the slightly nudity of the image: hope that nobody get offended; since i’m not sure of the policy of the forum regarding nudity, I covered some …ehm… sensible parts!

Just started so I’m pretty behind the final model, but I’m working on her!

Any C&C is more than welcome!

Hey Camillo, I like how it’s going so far :+1: Maybe the shoulders could be more narrow to give her a more femenine anatomy… unless she’s the SuperAverageMan’s “Super” sister :wink:

Regarding the nudity I think it’s ok as far as you include in your thread title the nudity warning (which you already did) It’s just because there are some kids that visit zbrushcentral.

nice work but i dont remember seeing black blocks on my life models haha, dont be worried about showing people human anatomy, if you have warned them then they shouldnt be shocked. (unless they are one of the millions of people who went crazy about janet jacksons nipple popping out on tv.) :lol:

Will try to do the corrections suggested by elarcano and thanks henrysouth for your opinion about the nudity…I was a little bit worried since it was my first post and I didn’t want to start with an offending mistake…next update I will leave in photoshop the black blocks:)

boobs are not really attached that way >.< I recomend looking at photo referance a bit more :slight_smile:

yep, its a hard life being a human sculpting artist.
your homework today is to look at as many pictures of boobs as possable. there will be a test hahaha

here is a little update of my progress converting the SupAvMan in a “lady”…

Altermind, thanks for the suggestion: I’m aware of the problem. but since I started from a male body, the breast is not yet correct: still have to work mostly on the upper part…

But now I’ve a problem due to my scarse knowledge of ZBrush: How can increase the definition of the nipples area only without screwing up all the geometry of the mesh? I tried with a selection and then a subdivision, but I do not really like the result, since I get a bad border zone between the subdivided area and the rest of the mesh. Retopology is too time consuming and with automatic way - shift+click -, ZBrush keep crashing…Any suggestions?

Anyway here are the pics…mostly worked on the feet and legs area.

Legs are looking good, though the knees don’t seem to be well aligned with the legs…

Anyway, I think you should still look for other boobs refs… right now they are really off.

But it’s a trully nice model for a first (serious) work :slight_smile:

Thanks Pedro! I think I know what you mean regarding the knees: they are a little bit twisted outside; I believe it occurred due to the reposition and rotation of the legs: will correct them.
Regarding “boobs”: yes I will correct them too: as I said, they are just only outlined: I started inflating and adding clay to the man’s pectoral: and I just worked on the lower part of the body, except a little sculpting on the hands.
I Think I will “deflate” a bit the breast: starting from the male figure, with the wider shoulder as a starting point, they came out over-dimensioned;BTW which will be the best technique to reduce the volume?

Potocello, not sure what happened few hours ago, after I uploaded to villagephoto.com the pictures. Right now it seems that everything is working, I can see the pictures also from my office IP.

Tried to correct the knees, almost done some more tweaking:

And most difficult task, trying to correct shoulders, breast, and moved the arms downward: this was very complicated, using the transpose e rotate tools - had to do a lot of corrections!!!

much better… but a looooong way to go still… the body does not flow… few places that need massive work… boobs still…ribcage…HIPS!.. the female body flows… also… the face… still looks male >.<

Corrected the breast - still some adjustment to be done - worked on the arms and hands, done some refining of the feet and legs; started some detailing of the back:

it doesn’t look too bad. However, she has huge breasts, looks aneorexic, very muscular, and has a fat ass (which doesn’t fit in too much with ‘looking aneorexic’ I would suggest making her a bit fatter, less muscular, and having a much less chiseled face. But overall, good work.

just another update: proceeded with some corrections - breast, legs, hips shoulders, face.
Added a pair of Hi Heels to the polymesh - now I have a polygroup mesh.

Right now I’m doing some polypaint, on the beautiful Sebcesoir skinwax material!

Next steps will be the additions of the eyes, some mesh extraction following an idea I’ve have developed from a drawing of a '50s PinUp and more refining of everything.

The problem now is that having converted converting her to a polymesh in a late stage, I’ve lost all the lower levers and not sure if I can UVmap the whole successfully in order to export the whole:(
Will have to do everythin within ZBrush!!

Cool m8. Its getting better with each modification. I like the Hands, legs and feet got some nice sculpting going, more so in thoes areas.

The breast look much more natural, I would maybe pull out a bit of a peak where the nipple area. Ohh where is her belly button?
