nice work, I like were your taking your beast. should be quite a good image when you decide to call it done. Cheers.
amazing piece of work, especially loving the look of the mouth and nose, the spec highlights work so well, bring on the finished version if this is still a W.I.P
apologies if you have already answered this, did you create the hair as seperate fibre mesh subtools, or as one subtool over the entire character?
looking really amazing!
I thought I would check in after lunch to see if anybody replied to my recent image and if it was still in the thumbnails and to my surprise . Well thanks.
I guess now I to finish this more for sure. I definitely see thing I want to improve on, I just wish I had the time to do so. At the very least I will try and make a few changes and do a better render. BTW I just realized that I didn’t mention that this is a ZB render, actually a couple of different renders combined in PS and to the question about weather the fiber mesh is one or several sub tools. It is many sub tools. Anyways got to get back to my job. thanks

(I sense you’re a bit down from your recent posts, hope it’s nothing that can not be fixed) PS Please apply it for the pixologic turntable gallery once finished
Cheers!
Hey Rick!
I just watched my bluray of American Werewolf two nights ago so this guy is a welcom sight. I have not had a chance to watch the extras on the Blu until now, love the interviews. The story Griffin Dunn told about the first time you applied the ripped throat make up and how it really freaked him out, that was a story I never had heard before.
MIB 3 stuff is looking realy cool , love love love the Robot Monster tribute. Did you try using sculpts straight out of zbrush for any of it?
Always happy to see you post!
BTW - I hope to be sharing a WIP soon of some characters you once had a chance to put your thumb print on…I am doing my own take on Gremilins for fun.
Take care
Greg
Talk about star struck was looking at the image saw the name and fainted like a school girl at a concert. Amazing work love the fur did you use zbrush skin shader for the skin?
It’s looking terrific!
Great !!! I love these works and the artist!!!
Rick,
I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my question on Modo.
It hard to tell decent software from marketing brilliance these days.
Oh, and on your most recent upload:
I’m fairly certain my neighbor had that exact dog when I was growing.
Scared the $hit out of me daily while walking home from the bus hahahahaha.
You captured Demon Dog’s likeness perfectly!
Corey

Very cool, I love the face on this. He has tons of character.
I have to second the Robot Monster tribute comment. It’s looks amazing so far, really looking forward to the film.
Thanks,
Bryan
Great work …
Just goes to show again how a real artist can adapt quickly to a new tool and get results that most of us could only ever hope to aspire to. Awesome work Rick.
Jamie
