Awesome!
great work, as usual.
I realy love the hairs and the pause.
congrats monstermaker !
Beautiful work Rick… Its your composition thats just as attractive as your modelling
oh man, so brutal details
looks like fresh mouse dinner for your big hungry toothy wolf
Rick man… You nailed it. Details around the eye and nose itself are killing me. Very ratty fur as well and good use of DOF. Lovely work. Did you make anything special to the skin material? Nose looks so… fleshy/meaty/skinny … loving it. Thx for sharing. Ow and one more question - whats the polycount on that fella?
Yea,what an adorable little fellow!
Ever thought of sculpting Frunobulax or a werepoodle?
Have a great Ztime,J.
Haha, just great and creepy that rat
Looking really nice Rick, cute one… keep going!!!
Fur looks great on him! and details!
You can almost touch that mouse…!
Great job with fur, you should write a tutorial!
Thanks for sharing!
Looking great!
I’m really impressed with the level of detail you are achieving with Fibermesh.
Its inspiring as hell for me, and shows how amazing it can be if used correctly.
Whoa! Are you the Rick Baker!!??? You’re awesome man, love the work, been a long time fan of all your practical make up FX, it didn’t occur to me you would be a zbrush user too that’s awesome! Well you’ve really nailed fiber mesh, this looks great wow!
Thats such a big picture. The nose is so convincing! The light fluffy hairs and the careful distribution of pores is fantastic.
I cant wait to see what monster comes from you now! Excited I am, very.
You have inspired me to do some animal studies of my own.
Thanks Rick!!
want to see which animal will be the next! Did you do the whiskers with Fibermesh, didnt you? why, and why not use zspeheres?
Thanks guys,
Moga, good question. ZSpheres may have been easier but I wanted to get to know what fibermesh can do.
Fantastic job Rick. I’m always inspired by your work.
Question about the wrinkles in the skin and ears on the rat. Is that noise or did you sculpt the wrinkles?
Thanks Wyatt, They are sculpted. I haven’t played with the noise yet, I’m not sure how to use it.
Really, great detail then. I have trouble getting to that last little bit of detailing to add stuff to that degree.
Did you use an alpha for it?
the rat came out perfect!truely an inspiring piece of art. looks like real man, really great work on the details in his ears, nose, feet and the fibers are great aswell. Did you make the body with zspheres or dynamesh?
All the best to you Rick!
Cheers,
- Kenny
I’d say you found the limits of rat creation in ZBrush. small_orange_diamond
