Ferg's Sketchbook

EricShawn: Thanks!
Michael: thanks man
Urchinator: Yeah, Spacederp is a homie, also quite the ladie’s monster
robertofernandezxy: Thanks!
VictorCS: The eyes are an alpha I got from the zbrushcentral alpha library. Highly recommend downloading that, I got it the other day and it’s pretty much changed my life, forever. I masked off the eyes and used the standard brush with a dragrect stroke and the hex alpha. Cannot stress how easy alphas make it to add awesome detail easily, wish I’d learned to use em sooner.
Daidda: many thanks
deckard01: gracias!
jamesT: hah, the original title for the guy was ā€œdont eat black holesā€ but bitter beer face might be better
nicholasmarks: …they pay people for this?!
fattkid: <3 I want to see some of your recent bizniss yo, been too long. You better have that giant chess set by june btw.
GX@W: spanks dude!
mutte: Likewise man!
poda: Thanks mang, I do have a few older ones on vimeo. I should make a new one… workflow has changed a lot since then. Here’s a link to one of em: http://vimeo.com/8788809
HellGrind: Cheers!

Thanks so much for all the replies everyone! Didn’t expect suckface to get so much attention… buuuut he did so I cleaned him up, fixed some niggling bits I didn’t like and gave him a proper render/comp treatement. Cheers!

Finally able to show this one off… I was fortunate enough to have the chance to write a tutorial article for 3d artist magazine about zbrush 4 and shadowbox. The issue just shipped so I can post the final sculpt

Hey! You got some great stuff here. I really like the last one. :+1: :+1:

I INSTANTLY knew that was you from your thread icon XD This is fkn brilliant, my friend!

Nice!

very interesting concepts nice work!

that sculpt with the squares coming out of his face reminds me of a film called ā€œwarlockā€ when he transforms a guy into a piece of sculpture.

fantastic stuff

AWESOME as usual. Good stuff!

:+1:

Great works!

are these one mesh? how did you get such sharp corners on the rectangles with any mesh showing?

fantastic

zber2 - thanks dude!
Maddy Talor - hah cheers!
patokali - thanks
killfrog - thanks man
tyrellcorp - thanks, I actually did that sculpt for a tutorial in 3d artist magazine. Each block started as its own subtool but I do some shuffling and cloning to create the overall forms. I’d explain the process here but they’d have me killed, it’s in the contract. It’s in the latest issue though - https://www.imagineshop.co.uk/magazines/3dartist/3d-artist-issue-28.html
EricShawn - cheers buddy
Cherub Rock - thanks!

Did another bust the other day and recorded timelapses of the whole thing, check em on vimeo if you’re into it:

wow amazing model !!! but the material you used for the render is really ugly ;/ Can you upload a pic with a different one ?;D

please could you tell me how you upload videos on here ?

Cool stuff! Love watching you work. THanks for including your tools in the video. It’d be sweet if Pixologic added some kind of tool stat window for videos so it’s easier to see what brushes people are using as they sculpt…

Keep up the great work.
