I’m surprise you are saying this because quite a few people told me she looked older before!
Thanks a lot for you comment and i’m happy you liked it :)!
Great job. I love that game! Can´t remember that she had a hello kitty thing on her bag anyway love it
Little update on the thread.
So I’m actually turning this zbrush sculpt into a game resolution model so let me show you guys where I am at it at the moment.
I’m in the texturing phase, no spec and gloss map yet
screenshot from Marmoset Toolbag
closeup
Hope you guys like it so far

i really love the textures on this, and love the hair too
I think this looks pretty decent but I would spend more polys on the hair and spend a bit more time on her skin. The spec should really help but the face just needs more variation and color. If you’re using any screenshots of ellie from the game, it should be clear what i mean. Still, you are doing a pretty good fan art piece so should be nice in the end.
Looks really good, but… more freckles!
Called it done last night
she will be posed inside in Cryengine soon enough,
just waiting on the rigg
Hope you guys like it
just wanted to post the ‘‘real’’ final image
Hope you guys like it!
She’s very well done! To me it always feels like an exercise , or a job application, when someone fanarts an existing model.
But there’s nothing wrong with that, and you probably just felt like it anyway. I’m just saying.
Good Job.
Awesome work Marie. Looks amazing with the different poses.
Beautiful and very inspiring!
Xoli : Thank you very much, glad you liked it!!
JL-Art : Yah I think the pose really help making her feel more alive, thanks!
MattSkinny : you could definitly see this as an exercice, or an hommage, really liked the work of Michael Knowland on this and really felt in love with the character.
been working on getting better on likeness for a while and I just felt like really giving it a try and was interested to see how far I could push the exercice.
I know some people didn’t like me reproducing the model. Anyway glad you liked it
Hi Marie, this exercise is great! Likeness is definitely one of the toughest things for me to sculpt, so I can understand if your having the same issue. Part of what makes it easier for me to sculpt likeness is having good reference. Can I ask what matcap your using for the grey turnarounds? Thanks and great work!
~M
Myselfsama : hey! I’m actually using the basic ‘‘matcap gray’’ from zbrush on those one hehe
Hah, wow. I feel like a noob. Not sure why the matcap feels so different lol.
Simply Amazing!
artiedee Thanks!!
Myselfsama hahaha that’s allright, I don’t remember about those specific renders but sometimes I composite my render in photoshop in the end using different matcap to get the effect I want. Maybe I did it for this one and that’s why you couldn’t recognize it :).
But I know that for sure the base of this one was made with the basic matcap gray
I just thought I would share,
I made 2 little video tutorial about this character on youtube.
This one is an overview of my zbrush pipeline and is answering some question I got ask quite a lot
