Hey! i’m waiting for the helmet!!!
i can’t wait!
Moni-Poroni: yes – I’m busy compiling the helmet sheets! Should post this weekend. Three models … me wants to see!
Max the Artist: Thanks for dropping by Max! Thanks for the nice comments. You couldn’t be more right about those sketches bringing the character to life. That’s why I’m so eager to see him finished: I wanna’ get him posed and reacting to someone/something. I’m working on some sketches that bring in some more backstory – your nice comments encourage me to post these too when they’re finished!
Captain Sensible: Hey Cap! You lucky b. ! Scott Eaton Masterclass… and the FOT V3! Didn’t you meet d_lavega at the Masterclass-he attended too. Glad to hear you liked the anatomy stuff I posted and glad to hear you’re hooked: the quality of your sculpts is gonna’ rocket man!
Yona: so glad you agree on the anatomy stuff – it’s what we need to bring our fantasy worlds to life! Lucky students to have such a talented mentor (if you don’t mind: where do you teach, what subject, and what’s the age of your students?)
Yona: c’mon Cédric! We’re renovating our house, had to paint ceilings all day! I’m compiling the helmet sheets, should be up this weekend! Thanks for the pressure/encouragement – keeps me goin’. !
Really good work. this is a great way to learn. the sheets are great. i would like to see some more of your study sketches for anatomy included in the pulled reference images as a record of your growth. very cool.
i m busy in preparing my stuff ,but you are a great teacher, looking for your updates man.
Love the sculpt of axl! The simplified strong forms show your anatomy knowledge. The lessons are great also. Awesome to have someone take the time to spell out stuff I’ve been guessing at. Looking forward to more!

Threetails: Glad u like! Quote:” i would like to see some more of your study sketches for anatomy included in the pulled reference images as a record of your growth.” Will certainly try to put some of my studies in was thinking of diving up some older drawings too, showing my mistakes due to lack of proper training. Hey man, I finally got the chance to see Deathrace! I had a blast! It’s a fun movie – icing on the cake:the Dreadnaught scene! You and the fdscenechanges – team did such a great job!
Thanks for your support threetails!
Romilkchoprazb: Romel, You’re too kind – thank you. So, here are my updates… looking forward to your new stuff!

Great stuff Etcher, you look really inspired… and inspiring.
interesting little journal, reminds me of Rorschachs for some weird reason
your son sounds like a joy to be around
nice hard surface modelling on the helmet, very clean, looking forward to updates
His helmet looks very nice Etcher.
Amazing how much work/love you put in your guy ( inspired by Steamboy ?).
Keep it up.
A fine artist, so inspiring
Definitly my favorite project here!
Like you i like to spend more time on sketches, reflexion, and presentation. I think that if you like so much you’re project it’s also because of this aspect of creation.
The helmet is wonderful and i’m sure that the polypaint and damage texturing will bring a lot to your “already” beautiful project!!!
Do you have a BG in mind or would you like to make a collaboration work on it?
If you want, i’m your man!!
This thread is becoming an inspiration for all of us here.nice presentation.and silhoutte.keep going man. ;)and yes one more thing, congratz on your new home renovations.
Etcher,
ZBC can be as hazardous as it is helpful. Dreams become nightmares to the unitiated.
Hopefully your family isn’t calling in Professionals to help you with your Z-peeping sickness. Maybe only fully armored robotic pirates should be allowed on the top row. . .
AMAZING helmet.
Amazing realization of talent.
Truly wonderful work and thread. The updates continually show agressive evolution. And although you declare hatred toward polys, I hope you manage to concstruct a complete scene for AXL, and not only a pedestal.
Anyway, thanks again for the constant inspiration.
This is looking great. I love it, the ideas the workflow, everything.
Subscribed. Thanks for posting
Hi Etcher,
I love your artworks so much! I like the way you did the anatomy study! Thank you for your suggestion in my post, and I’m looking forward to hearing from you more in the future!
