Etcher_Sketcher

…then we can print it out ourselves…if we want to…and IF you want too.
One can easily make something printable from all your works until now…but it would be nicer that you made something out of it, with a nice cover and all.

Your contribution is very much appreciated with or without printed stuff. There are many that can learn something along the line. And with class…lol :+1:

Point: thanks man! Quote:“the print out will be a very cool document, funny how it changes its meaning when it becomes real physical object, until then you are just an electron artist.” you’re so right! I’m working hard to get some sculpts finished because I want a 3D print of those to go with the book; I’ll post some pics of the sketchbook when I’m finished with the printing. Regarding the support tips on the skinning - I think I saw those in Threetails’s thread -but, thanks anyway. Hey, enjoy the new Wacom with the new ZBrush! !

dustbin1_uk: quote:“A print out! Cool! Let me know if this is something we can all get, I’m sure I would love to get a copy!” I’m glad you would be interested but as for now I’m printing it out at home just for myself. But who knows, maybe someday, a publisher might be interested… .

asecbrush: dankjewel! (thank you)-thanks for letting me know you like!

tokio: you’re welcome and thank you for the nice compliments !

Yainderidoo: I’ll certainly keep that in mind! I’ve got some ideas… we’ll see how it evolves… . And thanks again for the nice comments :+1: !

Hey Etcher…cool stuff my friend.

Yu could do a self publish upload to somewhere like blurb.com. Just composite the sketchbook and make it available to purchase…even send the proceeds to charities etc

Just a thought.

Im in anything but a paper free office environment. I still print out online tutorials so i can read them and use them to mop up coffee spills.

Hey etcher, what’s the book gonna be about? Can I see some of your serious work somewhere? It’s like that curb your enthusiasm episode where larry gives their plumber (?) a funkhouser0s 50 $ from a sock, and plumber says: Well I want money but…do you have some other money" hehe, I’m asking, ok I see this, but do you have any other work? I think you’re doing a great job exploring anatomy and how things work rather then doing photorealistic images, and good luck with the book.

Bye

AAaaaaaah! :rage: That`s mean! Now I want to see much moooore! Looks very promising, Etcher.

Ok man, NOT cool!

Head’s looking great, if only there was more of it:roll_eyes: hahaahha

Now you have to lift the veil fast, we need to see beyond!!

Hey thats cool, you and I seem to be heading down similer paths. I love it. Im working on my presentation pages now, I hope they turn out as well. I can’t wait to see more of this, its going to be outstanding.

[email protected]:thanks Peter! Thanks also for pointing me towards blurb.com/digital publication – all new territory for an old school guy like me who even likes the smell of books (ok, I know that sounded a bit iffy…).
But hey, maybe I should try to actually finish a sculpt/scene first… almost a year on ZBC and I managed to fill up 80+ sheets with nothing but sketches, sketchy sculpts and way too much blah… blahblahblah…
To make things worse: I print out online tutorials too…

Cherub_rock: Well, this whole book thing was only an exchange of ideas when I mentioned (a few posts back)that I was printing the Etcher_Sketcher sheets out for myself –maybe a future thing, dunno. Regarding my serious work: the works on ZBC are the only public ones so far, also, future additions won’t be more serious than this : my other works (copperplate etchings, drawings, etc) all fall under the TTVOR header  . Quote: “I think you’re doing a great job exploring anatomy and how things work rather then doing photorealistic images”,thanks; you’re right, I’m working/studying from the inside out: base first, whistles and bells (detailing, polypaint) last.

Moni-Poroni: no, you’re being mean: so many weeks without updating your thread… and you know that we know that you’re working on some cool new stuff… :rage: where’s the update Moni  !

Ville: hehe, thanks man; lifting the Veil, sheet after sheet… but it’s a one man project… takes time… ,hope you’ll bear with me! :sunglasses: .

Threetails: thanks Cam, I am very pleased that you like the way this is turning out, your feedback is very valuable. Similar paths: probably the way we digest the stuff we pick up as we go along; fitting like pieces of a puzzle or cogwheels driving one big engine. It’s a big thrill to see how this similar learning/working method results in the creation of completely different worlds. It’s great to read that you’re prepping presentation pages, hope you’ll be able to put them up soon!

TTVOR_BTb_002

Sorry, I didn’t mean “serious” even though I wrote it hehhe, but I hope that it is apparent in that last remark that I find your work displayed here very serious and am glad to see a person here that isn’t doing something just for the fame and money to put it in layman terms

Good luck!

Took me quite some time to read through your thread and i really enjoyed it very much. Great work! Well explained and very inspiring. Because of u i will spend many hours testing around

Hey Geert, very nice updates. Great demonstrations of ZSpheres2! Really looking forward to using it when it comes out for mac. Looking forward to more on TTVOR too. Keep it up dude :+1:

I’m one of those people who love the Special Features, and TTVOR and all the details you have given us make this journey easier and way more interesting, keep up the great thread.

cherub_rock: no need to be sorry, It was clear to me that you inquired about my works in a positive way. Thanks again for the feedback.

MDGeist: Thank you very much for taking the time to let me know, I’m glad you like and that it’s of some use to you :+1: . I know that the thread size is getting a bit out of control… but that’s Pixologic’s fault… .

Captain Sensible: thanks a bunch Chris! Well, looks like I got something that you want, and you got something that I want  (ZII-GoZ)!. Glad you like the TTVOR stuff!

Point: thanks for this very motivating comment, Mike, I am very pleased that you like the new developments! I’d say: hopefully, you’ll stay tuned for more!

Hey Etch it’s been a while since I visited your thread, great work on the ZII stuff and I’m curious for what your TTVOR will be. Keep it up and thanks for the nice replies on my thread.

mutte696: thanks for taking the time to check out the updates Maarten. Glad u like ‘em! . Workin’ hard on the TTVOR updates… so little time… so much to do still… .

dude… you’re insane! haha… but in a totally good way!! Thanks for sharing with us! Looking forward to seeing more from this thread!

chindian: hey Thaddeus, thanks for dropping me a line! I’m pleased to hear you like the worx so far… you’re right; this ZBrush thing is driving me insane… and it’s going from bad to worse… I LOVE IT!

Hey Etcher!
i’m happy to see that you still have time to work on your projects as much as i do!
Hope you’re fine! im’ waiting for you next update!!

Hey Geert, saw you posting comments, thought you might have an update on the thin veil? hope it’s all going well!
