A week? That’s very nice, I like the render :+1:

very nice render can you tell me about your skin and eye shader and that whole process or your orc alien

Great work, once again. :+1:
Renders are impressive!

Excellent work. I’d love to see a video of your retopo process if you’re willing to share.

Wow! awesome stuff! Very nice render on the big pic of the blue dude. :+1: :+1:

Santis - Thanks, yeah it was about a week for the whole thing.

Hboybowen - Thank you, well for the skin I used vray’s sss2 and the eyes were a bit tricky really nothing to it there’s a really helpful tutorial by alex in the gnomonworkshops I believe.

michalis - Thanks a lot.

BlueAppleStudio - Thank you very much, for the retopology the tools in max really do the magic for me. there are pretty straight forward and easy to use. Maybe one day I’ll do a quick tut on it.

zber2 - Thanks a lot.

here is video i actually remember to make in zbrush. Nothing to it, just sculpting big forms to little ones and always keeping an eye out for the silhouette of the whole thing.

and part 2 and final

Thanks everybody.

Great stuff! I always enjoy seeing how other people work. Gets me all pumped up to do some ZBrushing.

Thats a nice character for once, I love the style…some improvement with light and render but …really, a very nice model.

Moops - Thanks man I really love your stuff man, i envy your style…

Mindblade - Thanks man, For once I finally get a decent one done. Checked your stuff, pretty awesome…

Hopefully I can get another one done before year ends. Thanks a lot everyone for all your support so far…

oh, what I meant was a very good character for once on zbrush that day, not for once you make a very good character. Hope you did not misunderstood

cheers

Mindblade - lol no problems at all man, when i see my images all I see are the mistakes and tweaks that needed to be done differently. So with your comment i was like, **** so I’m not the only one that sees them, i better keep practicing   , it’s a whole learning curve for me, and you are too kind man, Thanks once again.

Hello and Happy New year to this wonderful Community. So here I had a go at this wonderful concept by the amazing Adrian Smith. It was really fun to make and like always I learned a lot. It was my first time dealing with the crazy hair and fur modifier in max and I’m sure It is only going to get better from now on. I did have to make some adjustments in PS on the hair :frowning: , it still could have used more work but I don’t normally like to tweak my images much in PS, only simple color corrections  . Well I Still hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for all the support and comments everyone.

man this is good. Look it and the concept

very inspiring work. Thanks for sharing

Love this character and the quality of the work

Great rendition, keep it up

wow, love that character, but i think render should be more nice, any way very strong character head

The model is amzing, the forms are great and its an almost 1 to 1 replica of the concept, but the render isnt really good.
The cloth and his armor are too noisy, the eyes dont look like eyes at all, they need some reflections, and mybe two layers with 1 being trasparentf and the other one with a hole for his eye pupil, just liek you would do human eyes, or if you already got refletions in them, turn off the noise.
Also if you used a hdr image for light setup change it o few spot lights, there dosnt seem to be any shadows in the scene at all. This makes the eyes seem like if they are glowing, also the middle part feels absolutly flat, if its to be lether it also needs some reflections ;f This lioght setup dosnt seem to work with him at all. Just look at the rioght side of his neck, and then at the right side of his head, seems like 2 renders done with 2 difrent settings. Maybe use simillar settings to you space marine guy ?
Anyway you got a greta model there, if you do some tweaking to the render it willaso look great ;]

Hboybowen- Thanks a lot man

soulty666- Thanks, checked ur stuff man, pretty wild.

EZRA52- Thanks a lot.

SuperHer0- Thank you, Checked your, work really kick ass.

mohamed raoof- Thanks mohamed, I agree with you. Hey I saw your work really amazing renders.

slocik- Thanks for all the feedback, you’re probably right. I also checked your stuff, pretty amazing.

Thanks a ton everybody.

Hi everyone so I made this bust inspired by a concept from eWkn who is an amazing artist. I really learned a lot and put in practice a lot of things I knew only in theory. Figuring out all these things by myself has been tough but I think it is paying off little by little. Well hopefully I keep learning with every single piece I create and I get lucky with the studio I have in mind and hopefully they have me in mind as well  , perhaps I’ll be able to quit my grocery job  .

Anyways I made this guy using Xsi, Max, zbrush, photoshop, Basically whatever was needed to make it look good. Zbrush was use in the sculpting, a lot of tweaking, and posing. Well I thank you all for your time and as of me, I’m going take all I learned here and I’ll try to bring it on the next projects.

Have a good day everyone.
