Pix,
I don’t know if bringing “domestic bliss” into the picture was such a good idea. I preferred the previous version.

Awesome imagery Pixolator,
I think bringing the other
figure in is a great idea, giving greater scope for the overall image.
Lookin forword to the next update !
It’s very interesting, I think, how you do modeling, and then kind of test out “skin” and stuff like that, then back to modeling some more. And I really can’t wait to see the foliage on the tree-people gaurdians!
Spectacular imagery Pixolator!!!
Being on the ZTrain,is a wonderful experience!.
It’s an Incredible creation and plays a great part in my life. And I want to say thankyou.
This is going to be awesome Pix (heck it’s awesome now!). I am curious. What method did you use to so accurately mirror the image on the right side? That alone looks like it could have taken forever.
This is really fantastic!! Thanks so much!
Awesome update, Pixolator
stargo
how did you made this cool polymash???
All the trees and stuff…just awesome!!!
Thanks for kind feedback
Zoid: The current canvas dimensions are 2560x1360. (twice the size of the previous image)
Slosh: While the image is in WIP stages, I am trying to keep it small in size for fast download/viewing. The final image may have a link to a larger/better quality image that may exceed the 200k limits.
Mentat7: It was done by duplicating a layer, flipping horizontally, removing the unwanted parts and merging the layers (ZADD and MRGB pressed while merging). This method demonstrates one of the benefit of working in 2.5D, it allows you to flip the base-unshaded-colors + depth-values and have the highlights and shadows correctly rendered (as well as correct distance-to-light and material variations). Flipping in 2D apps would have resulted in identically mirrored highlights and shadows instead of a proper re-shading. The Rusted Golden Idol tutorial demonstrates this method.
Ztevie-rae: Thank you :)Infact, ZBrushCentral name originated from the idea of this forum being the Central Station to all ZTrains
Here is a quick update…
Temporary fog removed; better fog/clouds will be added at a later stage.
Thanks,
-Pixolator
[Edit]
P.S. Stonecutter: The shapes in the middle were not planned, they just appeared as the image progressed and then mirrored
Wauu Pixolator !! I haven’t the word !! This image are simly perfect in all of details!!!
Love the interesting perspective on this update. Makes one feel like one is looking at something very big and imposing.
Thanks
Exploration continues with a foliage test…
The foliage will be completely redone at a later stage.

that looks so real , i’m still trying to figure out how to make a realistic looking tree
Wow Pix!! That foliage looks so real! And the glow!!! Woooowhee!! Not to knock your absolutely wonderful talent but is that foliage possible because of the new features in the upcoming new version?
Hi Pix, nice looking foliage. It is difficult to comment as it is so small! a larger image would me helpful, that would help us to see the technique used.
Thanks for sharing.
that is just amazing… i doubt you will have ANY trouble winning the contest. Man I cant wait for the new zbrush version…
The foliage and glow looks great. I’m with the others though. Could we have a more detailed close up of the foliage, please, please, pretty please?
Pix, at what magnification were the foliage and flowers made, just curious. If they were done at actual you have fantastic vision. I maginified it by 6 and the cleaness of the lines are amazing. I guess that is why the image is so sharp.
WOW, that is just amazing…
When you guys get the new version out you should do a Zcript Tutorial describing ways to create foliage like that. Im sure it would be greatly appreciated by just about everyone, me included ;).
Wow. We now know who the forum’s true Green Thumb is, don’t we? The progression of this image is amazing.
